Mary Parkhouse <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

89, widow of Frederick Vest <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr., died on Tuesday, November 26, 1996 in Bend, Ore.<br />

at her daughter, Fredericka <strong>Gunn</strong>"s home, with whom she had been living for the past 2-<br />

1/2 years. She is also survived by daughters, Gene <strong>Gunn</strong> Wilson of Akron, Ohio and Bryant<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> Craven of Richmond, Va.; and sister, Mrs. Stuart Allmond of <strong>New</strong>ark, Del.<br />

Memorial service to be held in Richmond at a future date. Richmond Times Dispatch (VA)<br />

Mary Ruth Poole <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Reidsville - Mrs. Mary Ruth Poole <strong>Gunn</strong>, 86, formerly of Route 4 died Thursday April 14,<br />

1988, at Maplewood Nursing Center. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Citty Funeral<br />

Home chapel. Burial will be in Shady Grove Community Cemetery. The family will be at<br />

the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.<br />

Mary Setliff <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Eden - Mrs. Mary Setliff <strong>Gunn</strong>, 88, of 111 Boulevard St. died Sunday April 13, 1980, at<br />

Guardian Care Nursing Home in Walnut Cove. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First<br />

Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Harry Smith and the Rev. Harry<br />

Wood Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. She was a native of<br />

Rockingham County. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Macon Miller Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs.<br />

Bill Thomasson of Reidsville; sisters, Miss Beulah Setliff of Reidsville, Mrs. Mattie Barber<br />

of Wentworth, Mrs. Gladys Cantrell of Salem, Va.; brother, Benton Setliff of Reidsville;<br />

seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. The family will be at the Fair Funeral<br />

Home 7-8:30 p.m. today, other times at the home of Mrs. Thomasson, Rt. 1, Reidsville.<br />

Mary Sheffield <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

79, went home to her beloved Lord on November 29, 2006. She is survived by her devoted<br />

husband of 53 years, Charles W. "Bunny" <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr.; also by her son, Charles <strong>Gunn</strong> and<br />

his wife, Beverly; and her daughter, Ann horner Truitt and her husband, Craig Truitt. She<br />

is also survived by her brother, Edward R. Sheffield Jr. and his family of Palmyra; and her<br />

twin brother, Benjamin Sheffield and his family of LaGrange, Ga. She was predeceased by<br />

her parents, Frank Wooten and Eula Horner Sheffield Sr. of Crewe; as well as by her<br />

oldest brother, Frank Wooten Sheffield Jr. of Richmond; and her sister, Ann Sheffield<br />

Hooper of Crewe. After graduating from University of Mary Washington, she was an<br />

English and History teacher, before becoming a mother and full-time homemaker. At<br />

Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Va. 23113, the family will receive<br />

friends on Friday, December 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will also be held<br />

at Woody Funeral Home on Saturday, December 2, at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be<br />

made to Needle"s Eye Ministries, 104 Berrington Court, Richmond, Va. 23221. Published<br />
