was married to Edward <strong>Gunn</strong> at St. Mary Catholic Church, Cascade. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong>, who died in<br />

1939, was a .director, of vocational schools in Wisconsin at the time of his death. Survivors<br />

include a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Frick, Homewood, Illinois., and a granddaughter and three<br />

greatgrandchildren. A sister and a brother preceded her in death<br />

Minnie <strong>Gunn</strong> - Haustein,<br />

Services for Minnie Haustein, of Staunton, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Williamson<br />

Funeral Home there with the Rev. Mark Allison officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park<br />

Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of<br />

service. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Staunton Memorial Hospital or the<br />

First United Baptist Church of Staunton. Mrs. Haustein died at 10:14 a.m. Sunday, April 15,<br />

1999, in Staunton Memorial Hospital. She was 95 years old on December 16. She owned City<br />

Hotel in Staunton, was a member of the First United Baptist Church of Staunton, Staunton<br />

Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Pocahontas Lodge. She was born in St. Louis, a<br />

daughter of Joseph and Christine Schneider <strong>Gunn</strong>. Her first husband, Matt Spagnola,<br />

preceded her in death. Her second husband, Lawrence Haustein, died September 25, 1990.<br />

Surviving are a sister in law, Ruby <strong>Gunn</strong> of St. Louis and several nieces and nephews.<br />

Preceding her in death were brothers, William, George, Walter, Joseph and Arthur <strong>Gunn</strong>.<br />

Minnie <strong>Gunn</strong> Holder<br />

Minnie Ree Holder, 87, of Greenville, Texas, formerly of Redwood City, Calif., died the<br />

evening of Feb. 23, 2007, at her home. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Coker-<br />

Mathews Funeral Home, 5100 Interstate 30, with Rev. Eddie Smith and Don Coppinger<br />

officiating. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harmony Cemetery in Winnsboro.<br />

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Born Sept. 20, 1919, in Winnsboro,<br />

she was the daughter of William Elery and Dollie Allen <strong>Gunn</strong>. She was married to Al Holder<br />

in San Francisco, Calif., on April 17, 1938. Mrs. Holder worked as a department store<br />

saleslady. She attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law,<br />

Paul and Carol Holder of Greenville; grandson Mike Holder of Freemont, Calif.; a sister-inlaw,<br />

Sybil Guillory of Atoka, Okla.; stepgrandchildren Karen Gregory, Debbie Walsh, Rick<br />

Dickerson, Lori Light and Lisa Maples; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded<br />

in death by her husband of almost 64 years, her parents and four sisters. James Hayes, Bill<br />

Caldwell, Evan Coppinger, Robert Sanders, John Smith and Elmer Ellis are pallbearers.<br />

Minnie C.H. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

WEST POINT - Minnie C. Hill <strong>Gunn</strong>, 81, died Nov. 30, 2006, at her residence. Services will<br />

be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hunter Chapel Methodist Church in West Point with the Rev.<br />

Casweld officiating. Burial will follow at Melton Cemetery. Visitation is today from 3-6 p.m.<br />

at Carter"s Mortuary Services Chapel in West Point, Ga.. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was preceded in death<br />

by her husband, Richard <strong>Gunn</strong>; parents, Jimmy Hill and Ida Bell Miller; and brothers,<br />

Thessus, Granderson and Louis Miller and James Hill. She is survived by her stepson,<br />

Bennie <strong>Gunn</strong> of West Point; daughter, Diane House of Atlanta; sister, Bessie L. White of<br />

Kansas City, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
