Allen Ludolphus Gunn
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Allen L. Gunn, age 85, died on November 4, 2003 in Sacramento,
California. Born on September 15, 1918 in Danville, Virginia, he was the son of William
Allen and Sallie Willie Dunbar Gunn. He lived in Pittsylvania County until 1948 when he
moved to California, where he had lived for the last 56 years. He was predeceased by his
wife, Helen Gunn, who died in 1966 and by two sisters, Margaret G. Wilson and Mabel G.
Harmon. He had one daughter, Sandra Naomi. He is survived by a twin brother, Andrew
E. Gunn and a sister, Katherine Gunn Hearp, both of Danville. Allen attended Whitmell
Farm Life School. He was of the Methodist faith. He served seven years in the U.S. Army.

Allen McBryde Gunn
Reidsville, NC — Allen McBryde Gunn, 77, of 1883 Pennrose Drive, died on Monday, June
22, 2009 at Kindred Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.,
Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Mr. Gunn was born in Rockingham
County to the late Thomas Allen and Carrie Witty Gunn. He was of the Christian faith.
Allen retired from the American Tobacco Company after 35 years of service and was a
member of the American Tobacco Union. He was a Sergeant in the US Army and served in
the Korean War. Allen enjoyed playing golf, gardening and being a member of the
National Rifle Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather,
Jessie Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Chaney Gunn of the home;
sons, Kevin and Steven Gunn; step-daughters, Denise Tudor, Karen Tucker and husband,
David, Pamela Loye and husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Kasey, Kellie, and Katie; stepgrandchildren,
Jessica Westmoreland Hollinghead and husband Derrick, Braxton
Westmoreland and wife Kelley and Laura Tudor Cole; two great-grandchildren; sister,
Joyce Puckett, and a special love for Jessica Westmoreland Hollinghead. Wilkerson

Allene B. Gunn
Funeral services were held at 2pm, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the First United
Methodist Church, Columbia, MS., for Mrs. Allene Baker Gunn, of Madison, MS., who
passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS., after a
brief illness. She was 91. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Columbia. Dr.
James K. Byrd, and Rev. Keith Gaughf will officiate. A native of Jefferson Davis Co. MS.,
Mrs. Gunn was born on September 18, 1919 to the late Henry C. and Allene (McCollum)
Baker. She retired as a Registered Nurse, and Nursing Home Administrator, having
worked at the Marion County General Hospital, and the Floadrian Manor Nursing Home.
She was of the Methodist Faith, a member of the First U.M.C. of Columbia, the Mississippi
Nurses Assoc., and the Womens Culture Club of Columbia. She enjoyed baking, and
