Allen Ludolphus <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Allen L. <strong>Gunn</strong>, age 85, died on November 4, 2003 in Sacramento,<br />

California. Born on September 15, 1918 in Danville, Virginia, he was the son of William<br />

Allen and Sallie Willie Dunbar <strong>Gunn</strong>. He lived in Pittsylvania County until 1948 when he<br />

moved to California, where he had lived for the last 56 years. He was predeceased by his<br />

wife, Helen <strong>Gunn</strong>, who died in 1966 and by two sisters, Margaret G. Wilson and Mabel G.<br />

Harmon. He had one daughter, Sandra Naomi. He is survived by a twin brother, Andrew<br />

E. <strong>Gunn</strong> and a sister, Katherine <strong>Gunn</strong> Hearp, both of Danville. Allen attended Whitmell<br />

Farm Life School. He was of the Methodist faith. He served seven years in the U.S. Army.<br />

Allen McBryde <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Reidsville, NC — Allen McBryde <strong>Gunn</strong>, 77, of 1883 Pennrose Drive, died on Monday, June<br />

22, 2009 at Kindred Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.,<br />

Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born in Rockingham<br />

County to the late Thomas Allen and Carrie Witty <strong>Gunn</strong>. He was of the Christian faith.<br />

Allen retired from the American Tobacco Company after 35 years of service and was a<br />

member of the American Tobacco Union. He was a Sergeant in the US Army and served in<br />

the Korean War. Allen enjoyed playing golf, gardening and being a member of the<br />

National Rifle Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather,<br />

Jessie Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Chaney <strong>Gunn</strong> of the home;<br />

sons, Kevin and Steven <strong>Gunn</strong>; step-daughters, Denise Tudor, Karen Tucker and husband,<br />

David, Pamela Loye and husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Kasey, Kellie, and Katie; stepgrandchildren,<br />

Jessica Westmoreland Hollinghead and husband Derrick, Braxton<br />

Westmoreland and wife Kelley and Laura Tudor Cole; two great-grandchildren; sister,<br />

Joyce Puckett, and a special love for Jessica Westmoreland Hollinghead. Wilkerson<br />

Allene B. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Funeral services were held at 2pm, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the First United<br />

Methodist Church, Columbia, MS., for Mrs. Allene Baker <strong>Gunn</strong>, of Madison, MS., who<br />

passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS., after a<br />

brief illness. She was 91. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Columbia. Dr.<br />

James K. Byrd, and Rev. Keith Gaughf will officiate. A native of Jefferson Davis Co. MS.,<br />

Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born on September 18, 1919 to the late Henry C. and Allene (McCollum)<br />

Baker. She retired as a Registered Nurse, and Nursing Home Administrator, having<br />

worked at the Marion County General Hospital, and the Floadrian Manor Nursing Home.<br />

She was of the Methodist Faith, a member of the First U.M.C. of Columbia, the Mississippi<br />

Nurses Assoc., and the Womens Culture Club of Columbia. She enjoyed baking, and<br />

planning children's parties. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
