of Wynnewood, PA. On April 5, 2010. Sister of Elizabeth Condron and the late James<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> and Florence <strong>Gunn</strong>. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and<br />

nephews. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 A.M. Friday in<br />

Presentation B.V.M. Church, 204 Haverford Rd, Wynnewood where family and friends<br />

may call after 9 A.M. Int. Holy Cross Cem. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may<br />

be made to the American Cancer Society , 1615 West Chester Pike, Suite 102, West<br />

Jeannette <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

age 71, a lifelong resident of Elwood, MS., died unexpectedly November 13, 2009 at St.<br />

Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood. She was born January 12, 1938 in Elwood. She was a<br />

Homemaker all of her life, and also retired in 1999 from Taylor’s (Linder’s) Dairy Store in<br />

Elwood after 27 years of service. She also formerly worked at the Call-Leader newspaper.<br />

She was a 1956 graduate of Elwood High School. She married Larry E. <strong>Gunn</strong> on March 10,<br />

1957. She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Elwood, and was<br />

active and had been past treasurer of the United Methodist Women’s group. She was the<br />

current secretary of the 50-Plus Club in Elwood and was the coordinator of the Glass<br />

Festival Quilt Show for many years. She was well known for her sewing and crocheting,<br />

and had helped the Elwood Coats for Kids Program and the Elwood Food Pantry with her<br />

crocheted mittens and stockings. She also crocheted numerous baby blankets, prayer<br />

shawls, and lap robes for area residents out of the kindness of her heart. She was the<br />

recipient of the 2009 Good Samaritan Award from the Elwood Call-Leader and was well<br />

known in the Elwood community for helping others. She enjoyed cooking, canning, going<br />

to auctions, shopping at Wal-Mart, and collecting St. Clair glass. Survivors include:<br />

Husband of 52 years – Larry E. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Elwood; 4 Children – Brian T. <strong>Gunn</strong> and<br />

companion Angie Davis of Elwood, Bryce A. and wife Cathy <strong>Gunn</strong> of Elwood, Betsey A.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> of Noblesville, and Bruce <strong>Gunn</strong> of Tipton; 5 Brothers – Bill and wife Jo Huntsinger<br />

of Green Valley, AZ, Dave and wife Judy Huntsinger of Morristown, TN, Danny and wife<br />

Vera Huntsinger of Gastonia, NC, Ed and wife Nina Huntsinger of Elwood and Dennis and<br />

wife Cathy Huntsinger of Frankton; 4 Step-Grandchildren; 4 Step-Great-Grandchildren;<br />

and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by: Parents – William L. and<br />

Ruth Jeannette (King) Huntsinger; Brother – King Huntsinger; and Sister – Joan<br />

Huntsinger.Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the<br />

First United Methodist Church – 1500 North A Street, Elwood – with Rev. Chris Dare<br />

officiating. Burial will take place in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from<br />

2 to7 PM Monday, November 16, 2009 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood,<br />

and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to<br />

the First United Methodist Church or the Morrisett Center through the funeral home.<br />
