Etta Lee Strader <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

wife of Hardy R. <strong>Gunn</strong> of 258 Martin Avenue, died unexpectedly last night. Although she<br />

had been in declining health since early spring she became seriously ill and was carried to<br />

the hospital immediately, where she died a few minutes after her arrival. Aged 65- years,<br />

Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born in Rockingham County, N. C., May 18, 1890, a daughter of the late<br />

Rev. Tom Strader and Mrs. Martha Scarlett Strader. She had resided in this community<br />

since 1941, coming here from Wentworth, C., and she was a member of the Mt. Carmel<br />

Methodist Church. In 1909, she was married to Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> who survives her with two sons,<br />

Eugene <strong>Gunn</strong> of <strong>New</strong>port <strong>New</strong>s and Hunter B. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Danville. She also leaves four<br />

sisters, Mrs. Lasley of Greensboro, N. C., Mrs. Minnie Strader and Mrs. Goldie Stone of<br />

Reidsille, N. C., and Mrs. Nealie Wall of Altoona, Pennsylvania; five mothers, George<br />

Strader of Danville, Tom Strader, Luther Strader, and John Strader, all of Reidsville, N.<br />

C., and Adolpuhus Strader of Muskegon Heights, Michgan; two grandchildren, one<br />

stepgranddaughter, and one greatgrandchild. Funeral services will be conducted from the<br />

Fairview Methodist Church tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will follow in<br />

Highland Burial Park. The body is resting at the Swicegood Funeral Home, but will be<br />

carried to the residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock and will be moved to the church<br />

tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 to await the funeral hour. July 18, 1966<br />

Eugene M. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

age 57, of Gulf Breeze Florida, died Sunday, March 4, 1984. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was a native of Pass<br />

Christian but had resided in the Gulf Breeze area for the past 5 years. He was a self<br />

employed comubustion engineer and a member of the U. S. Coast Guard Auxillary where<br />

he served as Commander of the (rest of obit cut off)<br />

Etta Petty <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Funeral services will be at 1 a.m. today in Hewett Funeral Home Chapel in Temple, Texas<br />

for Mrs. Etta Petty <strong>Gunn</strong>, 82, of 918 Barracuda. Burial will be in the Roberts Cemetery in<br />

Troy. Local arrangements were under the direction of Cage-Mills Funeral Home. Mrs.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> died at 2 p.m Wednesday, October 14, 1970 in a local nursing home after a long<br />

illness. She had lived in Temple most of her life, moving here 13 months ago (wife of<br />

Grover Guy <strong>Gunn</strong>)<br />

Eugene T. <strong>Gunn</strong> -<br />

Active in Bedford Little League -Eugene T. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 82, of Bedford, died at his home on Jan.<br />

12, 2003. He was born Nov. 6,1920, in Schenectady, N.Y., the son of William Earl and Viola<br />

(Trombly) <strong>Gunn</strong>. As a teenager, he moved to Hillsborough where his characteristic<br />

competitive nature and passion for sports evolved. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> married Sophie Bondar and<br />

two years later joined the Navy serving in North Africa and Europe. He graduated from
