Sept. 5, 1958, in Bethal. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Pamela J. Ortega<br />

of Roswell, Wendy L. Wing of Guymon, Okla., and Darby F. Pilgrim of Clovis; a son, A.<br />

Lance Bookout of Clovis; a brother, G.A <strong>Gunn</strong> of Fort Sumner; a sister, Deenie Pounds of<br />

Canyon, Texas; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests<br />

memorials be to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1856, Clovis, NM 88101; or<br />

Gideons International, 2900 Lebanon Road, Nashville, TN 37214.<br />

Barbara <strong>Gunn</strong> Cook<br />

Barbara Cook passed away on February 15, 2011 of cancer. She was born May 19, 1933 to<br />

Mary Ellen James and Roy <strong>Gunn</strong> in South Salt Lake. She married William L Cook Sr., on<br />

September 22, 1949. She was sealed to her late husband in the Salt Lake Temple in 2004.<br />

Barbara was a volunteer at IHC for 12 years. She served an LDS mission in England, and<br />

was a ward missionary. She was active in the church and held many callings. She loved<br />

singing in the choir. She was a barber for 32 years, her clientele loved her. Barbara is<br />

preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her brother Hyrum <strong>Gunn</strong>. She is survived<br />

by her children, Laura (Charlie) Christensen, William (Charlotte) Cook, Roy (Sheila)<br />

Cook, and Patricia (Gail) Nipper; 12 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen<br />

Layton; and brothers, Joseph and Raymond (Elda Rae) <strong>Gunn</strong>. Funeral Services will be<br />

held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Murray LDS ward building, 5425<br />

S. 600 W. in Murray. A viewing will be held 2 hours prior to services at the church.<br />

Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Rd. The family would<br />

like to thank Utah Hospice Specialists, and Highland Care Center<br />

Barbara <strong>Gunn</strong> Weum<br />

<strong>New</strong> Ulm, Minnesota resident, Barbara (<strong>Gunn</strong>) Weum, 61, died on Friday, July 17, 2009, at<br />

her home.Private memorial services will be held at a later date.Woodland Hills Funeral<br />

Home in Mankato is assisting with arrangements.Barbara was born in Emmetsburg, Iowa,<br />

on July 12, 1948, to Elmer J. and Joyce (Mittag) <strong>Gunn</strong>. She attended school in<br />

Emmetsburg, graduating Emmetsburg High School in 1966. She then went on to Iowa<br />

Lakes Community College and later Mankato State, where she attained a bachelor's degree<br />

in Social Work and Corrections.She is survived by brothers and sisters: Sandra J. Cox of<br />

DesMoines, IA; Gerald L. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Havelock, IA; John E. <strong>Gunn</strong> of French Gulch, CO;<br />

Michael D. <strong>Gunn</strong> of DesMoines, IA; James W. <strong>Gunn</strong> of rural Spencer, IA; Jay and Karen<br />

(<strong>Gunn</strong>) <strong>My</strong>ers of Mankato, MN; Danny and Sheryl (<strong>Gunn</strong>) Morris, of Austin, TX; and<br />

Major Jeffrey C. <strong>Gunn</strong>, who is currently serving in the armed forces. Also her sons, David<br />

M. Weum of Cedar Falls, IA; Patrick R. James of Cedar Falls, IA; Timothy C. James of<br />

Ringsted, IA; and many nieces and nephews.Ms.Weum was preceded in death by her<br />

parents; her brother Robert W. <strong>Gunn</strong>; son Dale L. Weum; and nephew Steven LeTien.<br />

Barbara (Gaskins) <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

86, of Bloomfield, Ct. passed away peacefully on Thursday, (February 2, 2006) at<br />

Bloomfield Healthcare Center. She is survived by her husband, Clifford W. <strong>Gunn</strong>, Sr.; a
