Robert E. "Bobby" <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr.<br />

of Mechanicsville, died June 16, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Alma H. <strong>Gunn</strong>; a son,<br />

Randy <strong>Gunn</strong> and wife, Karen; a brother, Gordon <strong>Gunn</strong>; a grandson, Fischer <strong>Gunn</strong>; a niece,<br />

Tina; two nephews, Tony and Jonathan; and a great-nephew, Jason. Bobby retired from<br />

GRTC after 40 years of service and was currently with the State Police Motorist Assistance<br />

Program. His remains rest at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy.,<br />

Mechanicsville, where the family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 p.m.<br />

on Thursday. A Christian Wake will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at the Catholic Church of the<br />

Redeemer, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday. Interment Hanover<br />

Memorial Park.<br />

Robert Engleton <strong>Gunn</strong>, 79<br />

GRAYSON - Robert Engleton <strong>Gunn</strong>, a retired factory worker, died Thursday, Jan 14, 1999.<br />

The funeral is 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Riser Funeral Home chapel, Columbia. Visitation is<br />

from 4-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.<br />

Burial is at the Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson., Monroe County, Louisana.<br />

Robert Eugene <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

Stuarts Draft, Virginia. - Robert Eugene <strong>Gunn</strong>, 76, a resident of the Stuarts Draft Christian<br />

Home, died Monday, January 29, 2007, at Augusta Medical Center. He was born October 7,<br />

1930 in Illinois, son of James B. <strong>Gunn</strong> and Bessie Bradford. He served with the United States<br />

Navy for nine years. He worked for General Electric 44 years as a cost accountant, and<br />

delivered medicine for CVS Pharmacy. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> enjoyed gardening and fishing. In addition<br />

to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Paul W. Smith. Surviving are his wife of<br />

50 years, Catherine Criser <strong>Gunn</strong> of Shenandoah Nursing Home; two sons, James B. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

and his wife, Ann, of Lyndhurst, William E. "Bill" <strong>Gunn</strong> and wife, Linda, of Madison<br />

Heights; two daughters, Robin <strong>Gunn</strong> of Mt. Crawford, Joyce Huffman and her husband,<br />

Nolan, of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his sister, Ann Beckley<br />

of Illinois; a special friend, Sharon Metcalfe; and "Tigger" the cat. The family will receive<br />

friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at McDow Funeral Home. Funeral<br />

services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Smyrna Presbyterian<br />

Church by the Reverend Will Heyward. Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.<br />

Active pallbearers will be Fred Huffman, Nolan Huffman, Bob Campbell, Robert Meek,<br />

Ronnie Meek, and Benny Flory. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Memorial<br />

contributions may be made to the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 260, Stuarts Draft,<br />

VA 24477, or the Grottoes Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1187, Grottoes, VA 24441.
