granddaughter, Ava Elise Kishish. Services will be Wednesday, September 13, 2006at 1:00
PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., with
Pastor Stephen Gettinger officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson,
Indiana. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at at the funeral
home"s South Chapel.
Miss Ruth Helen Gunn
of Mount Carmel Church Road, Reidsville, NC., died Saturday at Moses Cone Memorial
Hospital. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Carmel Church cemetery. A
native of Rockingham County, she was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro and taught in Winston-Salem. She retired after teaching in the Rockingham
County school system. She was a member of the Happy Home United Church of Christ.
Surviving are sister, Miss Clarice Gunn of the home; brothers, Edwin A. Gunn of Reidsville,
Marvin L. Gunn of Asheville. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel
Church cemetery fund, to Happy Home United Church of Christ, or to the charity of the

Ruth M. Gunn,
98, passed away Friday (2/12/10) at Holmes Lake Manor in Lincoln, Nebraska. Born in
Pawnee City, Neb., she was the daughter of Sidney and Lottie Cornell. Mrs. Gunn was an
insurance agent with John Hancock Ins. Co., having joined the company as their first female
agent. Her greatest joy was her family and she was much loved by both family and friends.
Family includes daughter, Marilyn and son-in-law Dr. Thomas F. Hinrichs, Lancaster, Pa.;
son, Jack Gunn of California; and son, James V. Gunn, who preceded her in death. Other
survivors include nine grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and fifteen great
great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the
family. Memorials in lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Gunn may be made to
Christ Unity Church, 135 N. 31st St. Lincoln or Aseracare Hospice, 1600 S. 70th, Suite 201,
Lincoln.
Ruth Gunn Austin
1917 ; 2005 - Ruth Gunn Austin, 88, passed away June 22, 2005 at The Residence Care
Source Hospice in Salt Lake City, Ut. Ruth was born June 5, 1917 in Richfield, Utah, but
lived most of her life in the San Fernando Valley and Westlake Village, California, and in
Sandy, Utah in her later years. Ruth married Victor H. Austin on Aug. 25, 1939 in The Salt
Lake Temple. Ruth was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. Ruth graduated from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Ruth was preceded in
death by her husband of 62 years Victor, her brothers James Gunn and Horace Gunn, and
son-in-law Dr. Michael Hynes. She is survived by daughters Ann Hynes, Kirkland, WA and
Jane (John) Dunlap, Auburn, CA; son Frederick (Susan) Austin, Sandy, UT; 11
grandchildren; 12 great-grand children; sisters Edith Ann Lloyd and Wilhelmina Anderson,
brothers Ralph Gunn and Thomas Gunn. A Memorial Service will be held Friday June 24,
2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive in Salt Lake City.
Interment will be in Westlake Village, CA, Pierce Brothers, Valley Oaks Cemetery.
