Spartanburg, daughters Rebecca "Becky" Jenkins and Mary Ann Bagwell both of<br />

Walhalla and Norma Jean <strong>Gunn</strong> of TN, 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, and<br />

sister Helen Moore of Walhalla. In addition to her parents, her husband William Howard<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>, son Marvin <strong>Gunn</strong>, daughter Wilma Louise Skelton, and brothers Robert Wilbanks<br />

and Melvin Bryant precede her in death. Funeral services will be 2 pm, Thursday,<br />

December 4, 2008 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster. Burial will<br />

follow at Long Creek Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to<br />

the service at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted. The family is at the home of her<br />

daughter Mary Ann Bagwell, 110 Bagwell Lane, Walhalla..<br />

Mary <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Mrs. P. H. <strong>Gunn</strong> - June 17, 1941 Blackstone, Virginia - Mrs. Mary Johnson <strong>Gunn</strong>, 88,<br />

diedat her home near Blackstone, Tuesday night, following an illness of several years. She<br />

was a daughter of the late Lewis and Lucy Johnson of Nottoway County. Funeral services<br />

will be held at 2:30 o"clock Thursday afternoon from St. Marks Methodist Church,<br />

conducted by the Rev. R. V. Owen, pastor of the Nottoway Methodist Church. Interment<br />

will be in the St. Marks Cemetery. Surviving are her husband P. H. <strong>Gunn</strong>, and eight<br />

children. H.R. and R. H. <strong>Gunn</strong>, Mrs Dora Crafton and Miss Florence <strong>Gunn</strong> of Blackstone;<br />

Mrs. Edward DuPriest, Victoria; Mrs. P. R. Allen, Crewe; Mrs. Kate Lewis, La Crosse;<br />

and Mrs. C. W. Vaughan of Ford. 46 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren and one<br />

great great grandchild. Pallbearers: Rufus Rash, Peter Crafton, Emory Lewis, Charlie<br />

Allen, Douglas Dupriest, Everette <strong>Gunn</strong>, Charlie Mac Vaughan and Trinkle <strong>Gunn</strong>.<br />

Mary A. <strong>Gunn</strong> \passed away on July 23, 2007 at the age of 71. Mary is preceded in death by<br />

her husband William Wade <strong>Gunn</strong> and is survived by her children, Cathy Winfield and<br />

husband Mike, John <strong>Gunn</strong>, Robby <strong>Gunn</strong>, her sister Arlene Levine and numerous family<br />

members and friends. Private services will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.<br />

Mary A. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

for many years a respected resident of Gatewoods, died at four o"clock this morning at the<br />

home of her daughter, Mrs. N. C. Hodges where she had been in failing health for several<br />

years. She was 75 years of age and her condition recently had become worse with the<br />

growth of infirmities of old age. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong>, widow of Starling <strong>Gunn</strong>, was born near<br />

Yanceyville and was widely known in Caswell county. Her funeral will be held from the<br />

home of her daughter at two o"clock tomorrow afternoon, the remains to be then carried to<br />

Shady Grove church cemetery where the interment will be made. She is survived by the<br />

following children: Wilbur <strong>Gunn</strong>, of Los Angles, Cal.; Richard <strong>Gunn</strong>, of Duluth, Minn.;<br />
