GUNN, Bruce On January 25, 2005 at 86 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Amelia<br />

(nee Adamowski). Loving dad of Lorraine <strong>Gunn</strong>, Deborah and husband Joseph Gervais<br />

and James <strong>Gunn</strong> and friend Bea. Best friend to grandsons Ian, Kevin and Robert Gervais.<br />

Predeceased by brothers Fred and Robert and sisters Thelma, Florence and Leona<br />

Clarkson. Dear brother-in-law to the late Janette Pedley, Ruth and husband Ted Sargent,<br />

and the late Stanley Adamowski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bruce was a<br />

well known commercial artist who applied his paint brush and talents to Windsor<br />

businesses for more than 50 years. Cremation services were held at Greenlawn Memorial<br />

Gardens. Memorial Service date and time to be announced. Cremation arrangements<br />

entrusted to Cremation Society of Windsor & Essex County (969-5449) 2670 Dougall Ave.<br />

Bruce Elwood <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Bruce Elwood <strong>Gunn</strong>, 85, of 958 N.C.65, Wentworth, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at<br />

Annie Penn Hospital, after a long period of declining health from diabetes and sprue. A<br />

graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20,2001, in Evergreen Memory<br />

Gardens, with the Rev. Dr. Bill Hayes and Dr. Michael Simmons officiating. A native of<br />

Rockingham County, NC. , Bruce was a son of the late Robert Earlie and Sarah Walker<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>. He had lived his entire life in Wentworth. He and his wife were the retired owners<br />

and operators of <strong>Gunn</strong>s Greenhouses, Wentworth. He was also a rural mail carrier and<br />

mechanic with the Rockingham County School System. He enjoyed working with many<br />

crafts in his workshop after his retirement. He was a member of Wentworth Presbyterian<br />

Church. Survivors include his devoted wife of 63 years, Josephine Smith <strong>Gunn</strong> of the<br />

home; son, D. Wayne <strong>Gunn</strong> of Kingsville, Texas; sisters, Edna G. McCollum of Wentworth,<br />

Bettie G. Sands and husband, Henry Sands of Wentworth; and sisters-in-law, Frances S.<br />

Jones of Buies Creek and Iris S. Powell of Wentworth. The family will see friends from 7 to<br />

8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times, they will be at<br />

the residence. Memorials may be made to Wentworth Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box94,<br />

Wentworth, N.C. 27375 or to the charity of the donors choice (Thomas and Sarah<br />

Boatwright <strong>Gunn</strong> descendant).<br />

ELWOOD — Bruce A. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 46, Elwood, died Jan. 26, 2013, at HCR Manor Care in<br />

Anderson after an extended illness. Survivors include his father, Larry E. <strong>Gunn</strong>; two<br />

brothers, Bryan T. <strong>Gunn</strong> (Carla McClish) and Bryce (Cathy) <strong>Gunn</strong>; and twin sister, Betsey<br />

A. <strong>Gunn</strong>. Service 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Elwood. Burial in<br />

Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation 3 to 8 p.m. today at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home,<br />

Elwood. Memorials to American Academy of Dermatology "Camp Discovery.<br />
