(Lenore) of Okolona; three sisters, Helen Dority (Bernie) of Missouri, Sarah Powell and<br />

Ann, both of St. Louis; 40 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3<br />

Mary <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - July 21, 2001- Mary <strong>Gunn</strong>, 72, retired cook,<br />

died of heart failure July 13 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services will<br />

be at 1 p.m. today at Jackson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member,<br />

with burial in Bridget Chapel Cemetery in Pittsboro. M. J. Edwards and Sons Funeral<br />

Home in Memphis has charge. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong>, the wife of Frank James <strong>Gunn</strong>, also leaves six<br />

daughters, Lou Coffey, Maxine Dorrough and Cora Jennings, all of Calhoun City, Mildred<br />

Moore and Creasy Thomas, both of Coffeeville, and Malika <strong>Gunn</strong> Campbell of Bruce; five<br />

sons, Frank <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr. and Stacey <strong>Gunn</strong>, both of Bruce, Rev. Spencer <strong>Gunn</strong> of Tupelo,<br />

Frederick <strong>Gunn</strong> of Clarksville, Tenn., and Chris <strong>Gunn</strong> of Misawa, Japan; two sisters, Ada<br />

Brock of Ohio and Mae Ola Hillard of Proctor, Ark.; three brothers, Booker T. Townsend<br />

of Van Vleet, Will <strong>Gunn</strong> of Aberdeen, and Stacey Townsend of Okalona, 29 grandchildren<br />

and 38 great-grandchildren.<br />

Mary Nell <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

December 14, 2010 Mary Nell <strong>Gunn</strong>, 61, of Syracuse, NY passed away at home Tuesday<br />

with her family by her side. Born in Auburn, AL, she moved to Syracuse at an early age,<br />

where she graduated from Syracuse city schools. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her<br />

husband, Alfonzie <strong>Gunn</strong>; two sons, Darrell and Timothy; her father, Jessie Taylor; a sister,<br />

Emma Jean Cleare; two brothers, Jessie Taylor Jr. and Jerry Taylor; one grandson,<br />

Jayden <strong>Gunn</strong>; as well as host of extended family. Mary was also the parental guardian of<br />

Monica, Linette, Shawn, Beth and Mandy. Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday,<br />

Dec. 21, with a funeral service to follow at Bethany Baptist Church, 149 Beattie St.,<br />

Syracuse, NY 13224. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery. Condolences may be offered<br />

Mary Eanes <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

formerly of Tappahannock, died January 28, 1997. She was a member of the Board of<br />

Managers of Sheltering Arms Hospital and served as President from 1970 to 1972. A<br />

member of General Board of Sheltering Arms and former member of Ginter Park Junior<br />

Women"s Club. She was also a member of the Country Club of Virginia, and a member of<br />

Ginter Park United Methodist Church. She attended what is now Virginia Commonwealth<br />

University. She was preceded in death by her husband Randolph Willford <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr. She is<br />

survived by her daughter, Susan G. Quisenberry and her brother, Walter Francis Eanes of<br />

Boise, Idaho. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Central Chapel of<br />

Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where friends will be received by the family
