Died Sunday Afternoon September 27 at her residence, No 2414 Washington Avenue, Mrs.
Hattie A. Gunn. Funeral services will occur at First Baptist Church this Monday afternoon
at 2:30 o’clock. Friends are invited. Interment Rose Hill cemetery. Macon Telegraph

wife of John H. Gunn, former sheriff of Caswell county, died suddenly at her home April 9,
1933 at Yanceyville Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock. She was 43 years of age. For eight
years while her husand was sheriff of the county. Mrs. Gunn was in charge of the routine
of the office, and thus became acquainted with most of the residents of Caswell county. She
was particularly esteemed by people of Yanceyvllle and the immediate vicinity. For 23
years Mrs. Gunn was a member of the Methodist church and was at the time of her death,
actively identified with the work of the church at Yanceyville and the work of the Womens
Missionary Society. Funeral services were conducted at Prospect Methodist church near
Yanceyville at three o'clock yesterday afternoon by Rev. I. T. Poole. pastor. Interment took
place at Prospect. Besides her husband, Mrs. Gunn is survived by four children: William
LeRoy, Henry Wesley, Annie Elizabeth and Elvln Malloy Gunn, all of Yanceyville. She also
leaves her mother Mrs. Lucy Rudd Smith, of Pelham and four brothers: Felix S. Smith,
Burlington: John Frank Smith. Ruffin Route 1; Onza G., and G. Robert Smith of Pelham.

Oct. 23, 1924-March 26, 2001 -Harley W. Gunn, 76, of La Mesa, California died March 26.
He was born in Pasadena. Mr. Gunn was a bar manager. Survivors include his daughter,
Subhadra Colston; stepdaughters Debbie McDonald, Joni Lance and Cindy Vargas; and
brothers William Gunn and Arnold Gunn. Services are pending. Arrangements: El Cajon

80 wife of Franklin L. Gunn, died Wednesday night, in the home of her daughter Mrs.
Preston A. Noble. Mrs. Gunn was born in New Haven Conn in 1840 the daughter of Henry
and Mary Fowler Augur. She married Mr. Gunn in 1860. Besides her husband and her
daughter,she leave two grandchildren, Elwood G. And Walter Pl Noble of this city,
Springfield, Illinois, and two great grandchildren. Burial in Springeild Cemetery.
