father in the residential building business. Floyd served on the Board of Stewards for the
First United Methodist Church of Arlington. He used his management skills, vision, and
commitment on the Board of Education for 18 years, serving as president of that board for
six years. After retiring from the Arlington Board of Education, Floyd served on the
Tarrant County Board of Education for several additional years. Floyd M. Gunn Junior
High School was opened in 1972, and he continued to take an active role in supporting the
students, teachers and administrators of that school. Survivors: Loving wife of 60 years,
Beth; sons, Stuart Kent Harris and wife, Pam, and Bill Gunn and wife, Mary; daughters,
Diane Gunn Keoun and husband, Craig, and Susan Gunn; grandchildren, Troy
Wetherholt, Stuart Harris Jr., Pam Harris Perkins, Sherri Harris, Stefanie Krueger,
Steven Harris, James "Randy" Harris, Valerie Keoun, Bradley Keoun, Dianna Gunn, and

Floyd P. Gunn
The funeral of Floyd P. Gunn, 55, of 1006 Azalea will be held Thursday at 11 am at St.
John’s Lutheran Church. Burial to be at Seaside Memorial Park. Gunn died yesterday
October 30, 1962 in a hospital. He was a guard at the Great Southern Chemical Company.
He is survived by his wife Cora and a son Carl Wayne Gunn of Corpus Christi Texas, and
two brothers, Barney A. Gunn of Orange and Emory Gunn of Victoria, Texas. (Thomas

01-19-2002 - Frances Marie Bradley Gunn, 78, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at
Wesley Long Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, in
Westminster Gardens Cemetery, with Dr. Rev. Steven Pressley officiating, from First
Baptist Church. Frances loved her Sunday school charity class. She was a devoted mother
and wife, and loving grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son, F. Edward Gunn
Jr. Survivors are her loving husband, F. Edward Gunn Sr.; daughters, Margaret Raines
and husband, John of Greensboro, Maureen Williams and husband, David of Richmond
Va.; grandchildren, Janice Greer and husband, Robbie of Lexington, Jared Gunn of
Burlington, Sarah and Will Gunn of Houston, Texas, Maura Roberts and husband, Patrick
of Laurel, Md., Lynne and Alison Williams of Richmond, Va., Meganne and Evan Raines
of Greensboro, 3 great-grand children; sisters, Katherine Cameron of Sanford, Lou Jolly
and husband, John of Browns Summit; and brother, Ves Bradley and wife, Vivanne of
Celo. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at the Hanes-
Lineberry North Elm Chapel.
