<strong>Gunn</strong> lives in Jewell County, H.A. <strong>Gunn</strong> in Alberqurque, NM and brothers Charles, N.M.,<br />

and Lou and sister Mrs. Mel Harrison in this county. Funeral services will be held in this<br />

city tomorrow afternoon at the Presbytarian Church at 2:30 pm and burial made in the<br />

cemetery west of this city. It is thought that the Modern Woodmen will have charge of the<br />

Francis S. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

the 2 month old son of mrs. And Mrs. J. J. <strong>Gunn</strong>, died early yesterday morning, Dec 12,<br />

1913 at the home of his parents in Chisholm, Alabama. The body was shipped to Elmore,<br />

Ala., yesterday afternoon where funeral services and interment took place.<br />

Francis W. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

86, of Cripple Creek, Colorado died Sunday in Cripple Creek. He was a gold miner and<br />

had worked on the Alpine Highway in Alaska and for the Rand Corp. in Denver. A<br />

memorial service with Masonic rites will be held at 2 p.m. today at Cripple Creek Masonic<br />

Lodge No. 96. Cremation is planned. Evergreen Funeral Home, Fountain and Union<br />

boulevards, Colorado Springs, is handling arrangements. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born Jan. 14,<br />

1904, in Cripple Creek, to Frank and Edith (Reynolds) <strong>Gunn</strong>. He was a member of Cripple<br />

Creek Masonic Lodge No. 96 and a noted local historian. His first wife, Marguerite<br />

(Grainger) <strong>Gunn</strong>, is deceased. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was married Oct. 5, 1979, in Cripple Creek to<br />

Catherine (Fabry) <strong>Gunn</strong>, who survives. He also is survived by a son, Kenneth of Green<br />

River, Wyo.; two daughters, Patricia Munns of Denver and Beverly Clark of Carbondale;<br />

five stepsons, Jimmy D. of Hunt, N.Y., Glennie Kahrl of Florida, Wayne and Donald<br />

Rogers of <strong>New</strong> Mexico, and Ronald Rogers of Denver; two stepdaughters, Ann Boyd of<br />

Houston and Barbara Lohman of Washington; a sister, Irma LeBrun of San Francisco; 16<br />

grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to<br />

Rev. Francis X. <strong>Gunn</strong>, OFM,<br />

58, a professed Franciscan friar for 32 years and a priest for 29, died Aug. 24, 2011 at the<br />

rectory of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Northville, N.Y. Fr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born on April 15,<br />

1953, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Edward and Rose <strong>Gunn</strong>. The family moved upstate<br />

to Saugerties, N.Y., where he received his elementary school education. Discerning a<br />

religious vocation, he graduated in 1971 from St. Francis Seminary High School, Lafayette,<br />

N.J. That fall, he entered the Order's pre-novitiate program at Don Bosco College in<br />

<strong>New</strong>ton, N.J., receiving in 1975 his bachelor's degree in philosophy. In August 1975, he<br />

entered the novitiate of the Capuchin friars (OFM Cap.) at St. Lawrence Friary, Beacon,<br />

N.Y., and professed his first vows there on Aug. 15, 1976. He then began his theology<br />

studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary in Darlington, N.J. In 1978, Fr. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

transferred to the Order of Friars Minor, entering the novitiate of Holy Name Province in<br />

Brookline, Mass. He professed his first vows Aug. 5, 1979, at St. Mary's Parish in Pompton
