Frankie D. "Sugar" <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

73, of Waco, Texas, died July 25, 2008, in Temple, Texas. A memorial service will be<br />

Wednesday at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco, TX 76708.<br />

She was born July 8, 1935, in Waco to Homer and Gladys (Bagwell) Durham. She was a<br />

court reporter for many years. In 1994, she began spending the summers living in<br />

Anchorage and Kenai, and enjoying her family and friends. Survivors include her<br />

daughter Penne Schulz and her husband, Jeff, and their children, Justin and Samantha, all<br />

Frank W. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

receiving teller at the Phoenix National Bank died at 10 o’clock last night 6-7-1904, at his<br />

residence near the city limits on the Georgetown Pike after an illness of only 3 days.. He<br />

was the son of Mr. John T. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Lexington, Kentucky and was one of the best known<br />

young men about town. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> leaves a wife and two children. Notice of funeral will be<br />

Fannie Mae <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

WEST POINT -- Mrs. Fannie Mae <strong>Gunn</strong>, 82, of West Point died Monday, July 5, 2004 at<br />

George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley. Funeral services will be held Saturday,<br />

July 10 at 2 p.m. EDT at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Revs. W.T. Edmondson and<br />

Walter L. Dardenofficiating. Burial will follow at Marseilles Cemetery in West Point. She is<br />

survived by her devoted daughter, Jewel A. <strong>Gunn</strong> of West Point; one loving and dedicated<br />

granddaughter, Fannette L. Truitt of West Point; one stepson, Evangelist Horace <strong>Gunn</strong> of<br />

Charlotte, N.C.; her aunt, Rose Tigner of Rome, Ga.; two nieces, Helen Reese and Martha<br />

Taylor, both of West Point; one god-sister, Opehelia Black Jones of West Point; three goddaughters,<br />

Joann Jones of West Point, Barbara (Lee) Autry and Joann (Eddie) Crimm,<br />

both of Lanett; a dear friend, Mary T. Fannings of Lanett; a host of grandchildren and<br />

great-grandchildren that she reared as her own; nieces, nephews, cousins and other<br />

relatives and friends. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was a native of Troup County, Georgia and a member of<br />

Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she served as a committed and dependable Sunday<br />

school teacher, usher, choir member and member of the Nurse"s Guild. She was a 1942<br />

graduate of West Point Colored High School. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was the daughter of the late Mr.<br />

Clem Sherman and Mrs. Annie Lewis Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband,<br />

Jerry <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr.; and two brothers, Carlton and Nathan Long. The remains will lie in state<br />

at the church Saturday, July 10 from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour. M.W. Lee Mortuary of<br />

West Point is in charge of arrangements.
