Cemetery in Atlanta. Mr. Gunn was a WWII Navy Veteran. He had been employed with
the City of Atlanta Fire Dept. before retiring in 1976. He was a member of Smyrna First
Baptist Church. Surviving are: Wife - Marlene Gunn of Smyrna, Son & Daughter-in-law
John & Paula Gunn of Kennesaw, Brother - Gene Gunn of San Diego, CA, 2 Sisters - Nell
Bates of Powder Springs, Lavern Linder of Hartwell, GA, 2 Grandchildren, Heather &
Hannah Gunn of Kennesaw. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday,

Jesse Ernest Gunn
GRAND HAVEN Michigan (Special) — Jesse Ernest Gunn, 51, Highland St., Ferrysburg,
Mi died Thurday afternoon, February 15, 1956 in Municipal Hospital following an illness
of several years. He was born in Newago April 27, 1905, and was married in Grand Haven
Dec. 6, 1930 to Mary Farrer. He had been employed at Continental Motors in Muskeson as
a machinist for 12 years. The family moved to this area from Coopersville about 12 years
ago. Besides the wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clinton Harvey and Mrs.
Erwin Ten Brink, both of Spring Lake and a son, Jack Arthur, at home; also three
grandchildren. A son, Ernest, was killed in 1953. The rosary will be recited at Kammeraad
Funeral Home at 5
p.m. tonight and services will be held from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake
Saturday at 9 a.m. with the Rev. J. Ducey officiating.
Jessie James Gunn,
65, of Dryden, Va., went to be with the Lord Thursday March 27, 2009 at Holston Valley
Medical Center. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Province Funeral Home,
Pennington Gap, Va. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home
sanctuary. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va.
Jesse "Jack" Gunn,
82, Lake Ozark, died Nov. 21, 2002, in Osage Beach. He was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Alton,
Ill., a son of Jesse Sr., and Marie Donner Gunn. He was married June 7, 1947, in St. Louis,
to Helen "Bee" Bright Gunn, who survives at the home. He worked for the Ford Motor
Company as a lift operator. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church,
Lake Ozark and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9273, including 3rd and
4th Degrees. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 15026 and was an Army veteran of
World War II..Other survivors include: two sisters, Marcella Carter, Tucson, Ariz., and
Dolores Romer, St. Louis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Lake
Catholic Church. Msgr. Michael Wilbers will officiate. Burial with military honors will be
in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at
Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to
the charity of the donor"s choice.
