Verna Lee Lilley Mullen. She worked for many years in the hotel and hospitality industry and<br />

was an Endowed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a woman<br />

of great faith, and was a devoted wife and mother. In addition to her husband, she is survived<br />

by four children, Tina Mosbaugh of Amherst, Will Ramsey IV, Samantha Duda, and Caryn<br />

Ramsey, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; her brothers, William Mullen Jr., Robert Mullen and James<br />

Mullen, all of Williams-burg, John Mullen and Otis Mullen, both of Lanexa, Herman Mullen<br />

of Las Vegas and Sam Mullen of Imperial, Calif.; two sisters, Lois Dainack of Washington, Utah,<br />

and Joyce Smith of San Jacinto, Calif., and seven grand-children, Jaylyn Booker, Tia Booker,<br />

Qwon Booker, Lorenzo Lin-sey, Raymone Linsey, Mackenzie Osgood and Logan Duda. A<br />

memorial service was held Thursday evening at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints<br />

in Lynchburg led by Bishop Roskelley. The family requests memorials be made to the Church<br />

of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 110 Melinda Dr., Lynchburg VA 24502. Whitten Funeral<br />

Home and Cremation Service, Monelison Chapel is serving the <strong>Gunn</strong> family.<br />

Wanda <strong>Gunn</strong> Mankey<br />

Ada Ohio -- Funeral services for Wanda Mankey, 82, of Ada, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday<br />

at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, the Rev. Thomas Dearth officiating. Burial will be in<br />

Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today and until<br />

time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Mankey died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday,<br />

Feb. 10, 1999, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born Jan. 24, 1917, in<br />

Hardin County to Franklin B. and Nona (Krisher) <strong>Gunn</strong>. She married Thomas O. Mankey<br />

on April 11, 1942, and he died Dec. 14, 1990. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Michael<br />

(Brenda) Purdy, Dunkirk, Barbara Gooding, Fullerton, Calif.; five grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren;<br />

two brothers, Garland <strong>Gunn</strong>, Ada, J. Robert <strong>Gunn</strong>, <strong>New</strong>ark; and three<br />

sisters, Imogene Bice, Kalamazoo, Mich., Betty O"Bannon, Lima, Wava Spradlin, McGuffey.<br />

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Clyde <strong>Gunn</strong>; six sisters, Gladys<br />

Hoy, Wilda Leffler, Pauline Ellis, Eva Mae Fewell, Annabelle Hunt and Margaret; a<br />

grandson; and a great-grandson. Mrs. Mankey was a homemaker. She was a member of Ada<br />

Church of Christ Disciples. Memorials may be made to Hardin Home Health Care, Kenton,<br />

or to the church.<br />

Wanda <strong>Gunn</strong> Wiseley<br />

Wanda <strong>Gunn</strong> Wiseley, 80, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, July 23, 2004. Wanda"s greatest<br />

joy was keeping her home and yard to perfection. We all loved her and will miss her dearly.<br />

She was a lifetime member of Fairview Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her<br />

parents, John and Lila <strong>Gunn</strong>. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Earl. R.<br />

Wiseley, Sr. She is survived by her son, E. Richard Wiseley, Jr. and his wife, . Also her<br />

grandson, Rick Wiseley and his wife, Kristen; great-granddaughter, Ericka Brooke Wiseley;<br />

two sisters, Norma J. Morgan and Marjorie Carter; one brother, John <strong>Gunn</strong> and his wife,<br />

Janet; and many nieces and nephews. the family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday<br />

at Lotz Funeral Home, Salem. A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, July 26,<br />

2004 at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Steven Summers officiating. In lieu of<br />

flowers, donations can be made to Adventa Hospice, 1645 Apperson Dr., Salem, Va. 24153,<br />

or Fairview United Methodist Church, 1310 Van Buren St., NW, Roanoke, Va. 24017.<br />

Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
