Minnie Lee Gunn -
McRae, Ga., - Minnie Lee Gunn, 86, of the Workmore community, died Thursday, January
22, 2009, at her home. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 23, 2009 at
Lowe's Funeral Home in Helena. Graveside Funeral services will be held at 11A.M.
Saturday, January 24, 2009 in the Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae. Rev. Ben Waller will
officiate. -Mrs. Gunn was born April 18, 1922, and was a lifelong resident of Telfair County.
-Mrs. Gunn is survived by her son, Jackie (Vickie) Gunn of McRae; two daughters, Betty
Harris of Macon and Jennie (Kirby) Jones of McRae. She is preceded in death by her late
husband of 49 years, Bud Gunn and two sons, Leonard and Murray. -Mrs. Gunn is survived
by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, several
nieces and nephews. -Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Macedonia
Baptist Church in the Workmore Community where she attended. -Lowe's Funeral Home of
Helena has charge of the arrangements.

beloved wife of the late Robert H. Hill, mother of Sharon A. (Richard) Cogan, Terrance M.
(Diane), Brian J. (Carol), and the late Robert T. Hill, also survived by a daughter-in-law
Deborah T. Hill, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Preceded in death by
two brothers, Bernard and William Gunn. September 18, 2006, Residence Mt. Washington,
Age 88. Memorial Mass at St. Rose Church, 250 Eastern Ave., on Saturday, September 23 at
10 A.M. Miriam generously donated her body to the University of Cincinnati College of

Verna Mirl Yates Gunn - SAN ANGELO, TX - Mirl (Memaw) Gunn-passed from this earth
to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior Friday, April 20, 2012, in a local hospital.
She was born Oct. 20, 1914, to August Earl Yates and Bessie Ellen Lemons Yates. graduated
from High School in 1933 in Big Lake. She married the love of her life Thomas Lee Gunn,
December 29, 1933. She was a homemaker and house wife she loved taking care of her
family. She attended beauty school and was a beauty operator for several years. She ran the
Newcomer Greeter Service for many years and was also a real estate broker. She also
worked for Walkers Grocery Store for nine years. She had two children, a daughter,
Barbara Runnette Gunn, and a son, Larry P. Gunn. She was preceded in death by her
parents, August and Bessie; brother Hugo Reed of Spain; loving husband Thomas; and
daughter Barbara. She is survived by her, son Larry P. Gunn and wife JoAnn of New
Braunfels; grandchildren John Wesley Gunn of New Braunfels, Baylus Tom Love and wife
Debi, Margo Inez DeLosSantos and Tomasina Gunn Cates of Fort Worth; greatgrandchildren
Kathryn Paige Gunn, Payton Storm Gunn, Amanda Kirsten Doucette,
Lindsey Madison Cates, Kaitlyn Dawn Cates, Cassandra Dawn Love and Rebecca Hunter
Love. Memaw loved to have long discussions about politics and debating politics. She
enjoyed getting into deep discussions about just about anything. She loved telling her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren about her life and teaching them about life. Service
will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson's Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lawnhaven
