Minnie Lee <strong>Gunn</strong> -<br />

McRae, Ga., - Minnie Lee <strong>Gunn</strong>, 86, of the Workmore community, died Thursday, January<br />

22, 2009, at her home. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 23, 2009 at<br />

Lowe's Funeral Home in Helena. Graveside Funeral services will be held at 11A.M.<br />

Saturday, January 24, 2009 in the Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae. Rev. Ben Waller will<br />

officiate. -Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born April 18, 1922, and was a lifelong resident of Telfair County.<br />

-Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> is survived by her son, Jackie (Vickie) <strong>Gunn</strong> of McRae; two daughters, Betty<br />

Harris of Macon and Jennie (Kirby) Jones of McRae. She is preceded in death by her late<br />

husband of 49 years, Bud <strong>Gunn</strong> and two sons, Leonard and Murray. -Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> is survived<br />

by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, several<br />

nieces and nephews. -Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Macedonia<br />

Baptist Church in the Workmore Community where she attended. -Lowe's Funeral Home of<br />

Helena has charge of the arrangements.<br />

beloved wife of the late Robert H. Hill, mother of Sharon A. (Richard) Cogan, Terrance M.<br />

(Diane), Brian J. (Carol), and the late Robert T. Hill, also survived by a daughter-in-law<br />

Deborah T. Hill, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Preceded in death by<br />

two brothers, Bernard and William <strong>Gunn</strong>. September 18, 2006, Residence Mt. Washington,<br />

Age 88. Memorial Mass at St. Rose Church, 250 Eastern Ave., on Saturday, September 23 at<br />

10 A.M. Miriam generously donated her body to the University of Cincinnati College of<br />

Mirl Yates <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Verna Mirl Yates <strong>Gunn</strong> - SAN ANGELO, TX - Mirl (Memaw) <strong>Gunn</strong>-passed from this earth<br />

to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior Friday, April 20, 2012, in a local hospital.<br />

She was born Oct. 20, 1914, to August Earl Yates and Bessie Ellen Lemons Yates. graduated<br />

from High School in 1933 in Big Lake. She married the love of her life Thomas Lee <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

December 29, 1933. She was a homemaker and house wife she loved taking care of her<br />

family. She attended beauty school and was a beauty operator for several years. She ran the<br />

<strong>New</strong>comer Greeter Service for many years and was also a real estate broker. She also<br />

worked for Walkers Grocery Store for nine years. She had two children, a daughter,<br />

Barbara Runnette <strong>Gunn</strong>, and a son, Larry P. <strong>Gunn</strong>. She was preceded in death by her<br />

parents, August and Bessie; brother Hugo Reed of Spain; loving husband Thomas; and<br />

daughter Barbara. She is survived by her, son Larry P. <strong>Gunn</strong> and wife JoAnn of <strong>New</strong><br />

Braunfels; grandchildren John Wesley <strong>Gunn</strong> of <strong>New</strong> Braunfels, Baylus Tom Love and wife<br />

Debi, Margo Inez DeLosSantos and Tomasina <strong>Gunn</strong> Cates of Fort Worth; greatgrandchildren<br />

Kathryn Paige <strong>Gunn</strong>, Payton Storm <strong>Gunn</strong>, Amanda Kirsten Doucette,<br />

Lindsey Madison Cates, Kaitlyn Dawn Cates, Cassandra Dawn Love and Rebecca Hunter<br />

Love. Memaw loved to have long discussions about politics and debating politics. She<br />

enjoyed getting into deep discussions about just about anything. She loved telling her<br />

grandchildren and great-grandchildren about her life and teaching them about life. Service<br />

will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson's Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lawnhaven
