away September 7, 2005, and Gordon followed her just seven weeks later, passing Tuesday<br />

Graves <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ouray Memorial Cemetery in Ignacio for<br />

Graves Shoshone <strong>Gunn</strong>, who died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at Spanish Peaks Health Center<br />

in Walsenburg. He was 90. Alvin Pinnecoose and the Southern Ute Veterans will officiate<br />

at the service. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Hood Mortuary. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was<br />

born Oct. 10, 1911, in Ignacio. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the 4011th<br />

Signal Service Battalion in the Asiatic Theater-China Offensive. He served in China, India<br />

and Burma. He was a member of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe. He lived most of his life in<br />

Ignacio and spent his later years in Longmont. He was a farmer, rancher and accomplished<br />

horseman. He enjoyed reading, watching western movies and spending time with his<br />

grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve<br />

(Pena) <strong>Gunn</strong> in 1978; two sons, Harold <strong>Gunn</strong> and Emory <strong>Gunn</strong>; and one daughter,<br />

Corrine <strong>Gunn</strong> Watts. He is survived by four daughters, Alethea Litz of Longmont, Sylvia<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> of Denver, Janis Peabody of Ignacio, and Sandra <strong>Gunn</strong> of Portland, Ore; a son,<br />

Alvin Pinnecoose of Fort Duchesne, Utah; one sister, Edna Hood of Ignacio; and many<br />

grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.<br />

1951 - 2002 -Graydon G."Grady" <strong>Gunn</strong>, 50, a salesman, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, in<br />

Dallas. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial<br />

Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Grady was born Dec. 6,<br />

1951, in Holdrege, Neb. Survivors: Wife, Peggy <strong>Gunn</strong>; daughters, Holly <strong>Gunn</strong> and<br />

husband, Antoinne Jones, of Fort Worth and Ashley Watson and husband, John, of<br />

Springtown; parents, Gale and Edna <strong>Gunn</strong> of Fort Worth; sister, Marsha Abernathy and<br />

husband, Ned, of Paradise and Susy Ramsey and husband, Matt, of Burleson;<br />

grandchildren, Devon Jones, D"Anne Jones, Demi Jones and Ashton Watson; six nephews;<br />

Gretchen Irene <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Sept. 15, 1911 June 11, 1997 -Gretchen <strong>Gunn</strong>, a former Livermore, California, resident,<br />

died Wednesday. She was 85. The native of Ceres was a homemaker. She moved to<br />

Stockton 2 1/2 years ago. She enjoyed painting, canvas art and making crafts. Survivors<br />

include sons, Ronald <strong>Gunn</strong> of Livermore and Carleton <strong>Gunn</strong> of Canada; brother, Glenn<br />

Taylor of Arroyo Grande; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband,<br />

Robert Lloyd <strong>Gunn</strong>, died in 1987. Services: Private. Memorial gifts: Valley Humane<br />
