Nicole Gunn
Nicole Marie Gunn, 33, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at Bayshore Health Care
Center, Holmdel, after a long illness. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. As a young girl, Nicole
was always happy and smiling. She fought a courageous fight with her illness for many
years. May she rest in peace. She was predeceased by her loving sister, Toniann Gunn, in
2008. Surviving are her father, Anthony Gunn and his wife Kristine of Palm City, Fla.,
formerly of Ocean Township; her mother, Lilyanne Fiore Gunn and her partner Kevin Rynn
of Middletown; grandmother, Theresa Gunn of Jupiter, Fla.; uncles, Joseph Gunn and wife
Marie of Jupiter, Fla., and Robert Fiore of Staten Island, N.Y.; her aunt, Debra Bertone of
Bridgewater; and a stepbrother, Shawn of Palm City, Fla. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m.
and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red
Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13 at St. James
R.C. Church, with interment following at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests donations in Nicole's memory be made to Bayshore Health Care
Center Ventilation Unit, 715 N. Beers St, Holmdel, NJ 07733.
Nina M. Gunn
Nina M. Gunn, 93, a homemaker, died Monday, March 21, 2005, in Crawfordville. The
service will be at 11 a.m. EST Thursday at New Light Church in Wakulla County, with
burial at Aenon Cemetery in Tallahassee. Family will receive friends an hour before the
service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723
Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. Culley"s MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins
Road Chapel (850-877-8191) is handling arrangements. Mrs. Gunn was born Jan. 4, 1912, in
Tallahassee, Florida and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of New Light Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Bertha M. Thompson (and husband Bobby) of Tallahassee;
two sons, George Edward Gunn (and wife Betty) of Crawfordville and Kenneth Gunn (and
wife Thelma) of Woodville; a brother, Albert C. Hartsfield of Tallahassee; nine
grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Alvin Edward Gunn, and two grandsons, Steve Gunn and Richard
"Rick" Thompson.
Nina Hester Gunn
The Register- Danville, VA Sunday, Aug. 5, 1979 - , 86, died in Roman Eagle Nursing Home
on Saturday morning after a decline in health for the past several months. Born in Winston-
Salem, N.C., on July 19, 1893, she was a daughter of the late J. W. Hester and Mamie White
Hester. Mrs. Gunn married A. T. Gunn on Dec. 18, 1912, and had been a resident of Danville
during her entire married life. In 1961, she and Gunn received The Citizenship Award. Mrs.
Gunn graduated from Salem College, majoring in music. She was the former music
chariman of the Wednesday Club, a life member of the Danville Concert Association and
Music Study Club, a member of The Eastern Star, Historical Society and Museum of Fine
Arts and History. She was also a former YWCA board member, a member of the organ guild
and performed in the choir at Main Street United Methodist Church for more than 65 years.
She was a member of the church. She was painist for the first meeting of The Golden Age
