Nicole <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Nicole Marie <strong>Gunn</strong>, 33, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at Bayshore Health Care<br />

Center, Holmdel, after a long illness. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. As a young girl, Nicole<br />

was always happy and smiling. She fought a courageous fight with her illness for many<br />

years. May she rest in peace. She was predeceased by her loving sister, Toniann <strong>Gunn</strong>, in<br />

2008. Surviving are her father, Anthony <strong>Gunn</strong> and his wife Kristine of Palm City, Fla.,<br />

formerly of Ocean Township; her mother, Lilyanne Fiore <strong>Gunn</strong> and her partner Kevin Rynn<br />

of Middletown; grandmother, Theresa <strong>Gunn</strong> of Jupiter, Fla.; uncles, Joseph <strong>Gunn</strong> and wife<br />

Marie of Jupiter, Fla., and Robert Fiore of Staten Island, N.Y.; her aunt, Debra Bertone of<br />

Bridgewater; and a stepbrother, Shawn of Palm City, Fla. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m.<br />

and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red<br />

Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13 at St. James<br />

R.C. Church, with interment following at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of<br />

flowers, the family requests donations in Nicole's memory be made to Bayshore Health Care<br />

Center Ventilation Unit, 715 N. Beers St, Holmdel, NJ 07733.<br />

Nina M. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Nina M. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 93, a homemaker, died Monday, March 21, 2005, in Crawfordville. The<br />

service will be at 11 a.m. EST Thursday at <strong>New</strong> Light Church in Wakulla County, with<br />

burial at Aenon Cemetery in Tallahassee. Family will receive friends an hour before the<br />

service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723<br />

Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. Culley"s MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins<br />

Road Chapel (850-877-8191) is handling arrangements. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born Jan. 4, 1912, in<br />

Tallahassee, Florida and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of <strong>New</strong> Light Church.<br />

Survivors include a daughter, Bertha M. Thompson (and husband Bobby) of Tallahassee;<br />

two sons, George Edward <strong>Gunn</strong> (and wife Betty) of Crawfordville and Kenneth <strong>Gunn</strong> (and<br />

wife Thelma) of Woodville; a brother, Albert C. Hartsfield of Tallahassee; nine<br />

grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded<br />

in death by her husband, Alvin Edward <strong>Gunn</strong>, and two grandsons, Steve <strong>Gunn</strong> and Richard<br />

"Rick" Thompson.<br />

Nina Hester <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

The Register- Danville, VA Sunday, Aug. 5, 1979 - , 86, died in Roman Eagle Nursing Home<br />

on Saturday morning after a decline in health for the past several months. Born in Winston-<br />

Salem, N.C., on July 19, 1893, she was a daughter of the late J. W. Hester and Mamie White<br />

Hester. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> married A. T. <strong>Gunn</strong> on Dec. 18, 1912, and had been a resident of Danville<br />

during her entire married life. In 1961, she and <strong>Gunn</strong> received The Citizenship Award. Mrs.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> graduated from Salem College, majoring in music. She was the former music<br />

chariman of the Wednesday Club, a life member of the Danville Concert Association and<br />

Music Study Club, a member of The Eastern Star, Historical Society and Museum of Fine<br />

Arts and History. She was also a former YWCA board member, a member of the organ guild<br />

and performed in the choir at Main Street United Methodist Church for more than 65 years.<br />

She was a member of the church. She was painist for the first meeting of The Golden Age
