David Frank <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

August 1, 1934 - September 9, 2011 - Graveside services for David Frank <strong>Gunn</strong>, 77 of<br />

Ardmore, Oklahoma will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the<br />

Condon Grove Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Donny Custar officiating. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> passed<br />

away on September 9, at the Whispering Oaks Nursing Center in Ardmore. Frank was<br />

born on August 1, 1934 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Roy <strong>Gunn</strong> and Carmen Ellison <strong>Gunn</strong>.<br />

He grew up here and graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1954. After graduation,<br />

he served in the United States marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Frank worked<br />

for serveral years as a warehouseman for the Georgia Pacific Company. He had lived in<br />

Ardmore for several years and for the last 5 years had been living at Whispering Oaks. He<br />

was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Clyde <strong>Gunn</strong> and sister Norma <strong>Gunn</strong>.<br />

Frank is survived by his sister Geneva <strong>Gunn</strong>, many relatives and friends.<br />

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) -1946-1993 - A doctor was shot to death during a protest outside<br />

his abortion clinic Wednesday, March 10, 1993 and an anti-abortion activist who had<br />

prayed for him to ""give his life to Jesus"" calmly surrendered. It was the first fatality<br />

ever reported at an abotion protest, abortion- rights activists said. Dr. David <strong>Gunn</strong>, 47, was<br />

shot several times in the back as he got out of his car at the Pensacola Women"s Medical<br />

Services clinic he operated, police said. <strong>Gunn</strong> died in surgery hours later. Initial police<br />

reports were that <strong>Gunn</strong> had been shot in the chest, but an autopsy later showed he was shot<br />

from behind, Sgt. Murray Holt said. At the time of the shooting, a dozen anti-abortion<br />

protesters were gathered in front of the clinic, Sgt. Jerry Potts said. Michael Frederick<br />

Griffin, 31, of Pensacola was arrested and charged with murder, Potts said.<br />

David Gene <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

"Devoted Racing Fan" Dave passed away February 9, 2008. He was born August 24, 1962<br />

in Phoenix, Arizona to Gene and Joanne <strong>Gunn</strong>. Dave married his first blind date, Teresa<br />

Giles, June 2, 1982, 25 years ago. Survived by his wife; daughter, Tori; brother, Richard<br />

(Linda); and sisters, Debbie (Elden) Letner and Jana. Dave is also survived by his in-law<br />

family and his "Racing Family." Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13th,<br />

11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd., Salt Lake City, Utah. A<br />

viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to<br />

services.<br />

David Joseph <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Published 8-20-1997 Tallahassee Demorcrat- David Joseph <strong>Gunn</strong>, the infant son of Ollie<br />

and Susan <strong>Gunn</strong> of Eastpoint, died Monday in Tallahassee. The service will be at 11 a.m.<br />

today at Kelley Funeral Home in Apalachicola (850-653-2208), with burial at Magnolia<br />

Cemetery in Apalachicola. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald<br />

House, 712 E. Seventh Ave., Tallahassee 32303. Additional survivors include a brother,
