97, Olathe, Kan., formerly of Grain Valley, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at his sons home<br />

in Olathe. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born Aug. 21, 1903, in St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Andrew J. and<br />

Barbara Graff <strong>Gunn</strong>. He married Helen L. Henel on Oct. 22, 1938. He was an architect for<br />

Byers and <strong>Gunn</strong> Architects until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife,<br />

Helen <strong>Gunn</strong>, on June 27, 1999, and a sister in December 1999. His survivors include two<br />

sons, William <strong>Gunn</strong>, Kansas City, and Robert <strong>Gunn</strong>, Olathe; a daughter, Deborah<br />

Poindexter, Prairie Village, Kan.; a sister, Virginia Schultz, St. Joseph, Mo.; four<br />

grandchildren, Lara Poindexter, Jared Poindexter, Aron <strong>Gunn</strong> and Barbara <strong>Gunn</strong>; and<br />

three nieces and two nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Royer Funeral<br />

Home, Grain Valley. Burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. Visitation is from<br />

10 until 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel.<br />

Colonial Heights, Va. - Claude Wilton <strong>Gunn</strong>, 78, died Wednesday 7-26-1979 in a<br />

Petersburg Hospital. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at 3. E. L. Small Funeral Chapel.<br />

Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery.He was a native of Rockingham County, N.C. He<br />

was the son of the late Jones <strong>Gunn</strong> and Eva Moore <strong>Gunn</strong>. Survivors are wife, Mrs. Bessie<br />

Sutphin <strong>Gunn</strong>; daughters, Miss Carolyn <strong>Gunn</strong> of the home, Mrs. Bettie Phillips of Norfolk,<br />

Mrs. Diane Baker of Colonial Heights; sons, Wade <strong>Gunn</strong> of Falls Church, Kenneth <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

of Rt. 1, Madison, Harold <strong>Gunn</strong> of El Paso, Texas, Leonard, John, Mac, Lewis and Jimmy<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> of Colonial Heights; brothers, Arnie M. and R. Early <strong>Gunn</strong> of Reidsville. The family<br />

will be at the funeral home 7-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-5 p.m. Sunday.(Thomas and Susannah<br />

Sun Herald, The (Biloxi, MS) - February 24, 2000 - Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace<br />

Chapel Baptist Church in Brooklyn, Miss. LUMBERTON --- Mr. Claude Winston <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

80, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, in Collins. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was a retired businessman and an<br />

Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Grace Chapel Baptist Church.<br />

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Jean Bounds <strong>Gunn</strong> of Lumberton; two sons, Samuel<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> of Wetumpka, Ala., and Anthony Lee <strong>Gunn</strong> of Palm Dale, Calif.; three daughters,<br />

Sherry Elaine <strong>Gunn</strong> Holley of Wetumpka, Sandra Louise <strong>Gunn</strong> Griffin of Smyrna, Ga.,<br />

and Ava Paulene <strong>Gunn</strong> of Senatobia; two sisters, Betty Lucille <strong>Gunn</strong> Marinez of Metairie,<br />

La., and Nell <strong>Gunn</strong> of Kenner, La.; two brothers, Robert McKinleyn <strong>Gunn</strong> of Pass<br />

Christian, and Curtis Dwight <strong>Gunn</strong> of Long Beach; nine grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.<br />

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at White Funeral Home in<br />

Lumberton. A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Chapel Baptist Church in<br />

Brooklyn, Miss., where friends may call one hour before service time. A graveside service<br />
