April 15, 1932 November 25, 2012, age 80 a longtime Jenesville area resident, passed away<br />

Sunday November 25, 2012 at her home in Janesville, Wi. She was born April 15, 1932 in<br />

Herne Bay, Kent England, the daugher of the late Frank and Dorice Baring Winch. On<br />

May 30, 1953 she married John A. “Dell” <strong>Gunn</strong> in England. He preceded her in death on<br />

June 19, 1999. She is survived by 8 children; Pat (Cindy) <strong>Gunn</strong> of Whitewater; David<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>, Richard (Marge) <strong>Gunn</strong>, Dorice <strong>Gunn</strong>, Mary Teresa <strong>Gunn</strong>, Thomas (Minday) <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

all of Janesville. Phillip <strong>Gunn</strong> and Biddle (Wendi) <strong>Gunn</strong> of Edgerton; Burial Mt. Olivet<br />

Cemetery, Janesville. Wi.<br />

Margaret Hay <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

81, of 407 E. 24th St., Owensboro, Kty., died Saturday, Dec. 17, 1994, at Mercy Hospital.<br />

She was born in <strong>New</strong> Albany, Ind., a daughter of the late Harry D. and Margaret Brown<br />

Plaiss. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, the<br />

Daughters of Isabella and the Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by her<br />

first husband, Charles S. Hay on June 27, 1949; and her second husband, Benjamin J.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> on May 4, 1982. Survivors include two sons, Patrick M. Hay of Owensboro and<br />

Charles S. Hay Jr. of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Sherry L. Hay of Nashville, Robert W.<br />

Hay of St. Charles, Mo., James E. Hay of Taiwan, and Michelle Barnhart and Stephanie<br />

Hay, both of Evansville. Services are at noon Monday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church.<br />

Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services<br />

Monday at Glenn Funeral Home, Owensboro.<br />

Margaret Harris <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

82, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First<br />

Presbyterian Church with Dr. Murray Gossett officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery<br />

by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born Feb. 7, 1925, in<br />

Sapulpa, Okla., to Judge Thomas Shelton Harris and Grace Mae Harris. She graduated<br />

from Sapulpa High School in 1942. She married Col. Yorke John <strong>Gunn</strong> on July 8, 1943, in<br />

Elizabeth City, N.C. She first moved to Amarillo in 1962, returning for good in 1987. She<br />

was very active in the Garden Club, Bridge Club and Book Club. She was active in the<br />

Officer"s Club at Tinker Air Force Base while residing in Oklahoma City. She loved to<br />

write poetry and was presented with an award from a national book organization. She was<br />

very involved in the life of her daughter, Sherie Lynn Gaultney, and granddaughter Ashley<br />

Braboy Byers. She was a very loving person and her family was number one above<br />

everything. She had abundant spunk and was curious about everything. She was a<br />

Christian woman whose faith in Jesus was never ending and unwavering. She had an<br />

enormous amount of pride in her family that was reflected throughout her lifetime. She<br />

was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Yorke John <strong>Gunn</strong>, on Jan; 8, 2005; a sister,<br />

Mary Marjorie Shank, in 1969; and her parents. Survivors include a daughter, Sherie; a<br />

granddaughter, Ashley; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials<br />

be to the Amarillo SPCA, P.O. Box 1014, Amarillo, TX 79105.
