Pauline M. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

81, of <strong>New</strong> Port Richey, Florida, died Sunday (Oct. 22, 1989) at HCA <strong>New</strong> Port Richey<br />

Hospital. Born in Kansas City, Mo., she came here 14 years ago from Ann Arbor, Mich. She<br />

was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, John, and a<br />

daughter, Sondra, both of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two brothers, Walter Meyer, <strong>New</strong> Port Richey,<br />

and Robert, Holiday; six sisters, Jessie Meyer, <strong>New</strong> Port Richey, Sarah Craig, Port Richey,<br />

Annie Meldrum, Hollywood, Fla. Pat <strong>Gunn</strong>, Holi day, Helen Luttenberger, Michigan, and<br />

Cathy Marsden, Arizona; and two granddaughters. Arlington Funeral Home, Port Richey.<br />

Pauline Sons <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

86, of Wartrace,Tn., died Friday August 8, 2008, at her home after a brief illness. Funeral<br />

services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Smith<br />

officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8<br />

p.m. Sunday.<br />

Pearl <strong>Gunn</strong> Barksdale - Funeral to be at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Ponca<br />

City. Burial will be in Ponca City IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Trout Funeral<br />

Home. Pub. 1-26-1998 Pearl <strong>Gunn</strong> Barksdale, longtime Ponca City resident, died Friday,<br />

Jan. 23, 1998, at the Ponca City Nursing Home. She was 93. The funeral service will be held<br />

Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church Chapel with the Rev.<br />

David Clipson, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery<br />

under the direction of the Trout Funeral Home. The casket will not be opened at the church,<br />

however, friends may call at the funeral home until 9 a.m. Tuesday. Pearl <strong>Gunn</strong> Barksdale<br />

was born Dec. 3, 1904, in Oklahoma Territory near Beaver, the daughter of William<br />

Sweeney and Ella Vesta (Small) <strong>Gunn</strong>. She attended schools in Lynhaven, Fla., and Lawton,<br />

Ardmore, and Idabel, Okla. On May 10, 1926, she married Sidney O. Barksdale at the First<br />

Presbyterian Church in Ponca City. He preceded her in death March 15, 1951. Mrs.<br />

Barksdale was employed as a sales clerk at various Ponca City businesses for 62 years. She<br />

had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church since 1924. She was also a member of<br />

the Order of the Eastern Star since 1924 and had served as Worthy Grand Matron in 1986,<br />

and had received her 50-year pin. She had memberships in the Literature Group, the Ponca<br />

City Women"s Club and the Poinsettia Club. She enjoyed sewing and tatting. Surviving Mrs.<br />

Barksdale are a daughter, Reitagae Wilkerson and a son, William Sidney Barksdale, both of<br />

Ponca City; one stepson, John Harvey Barksdale of Okmulgee; nine grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren,<br />

two nieces and one nephew. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in<br />

death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Casket bearers will be Sidney Ingmire,<br />

Scott Ingmire, Chris Short, David Wilkerson, James C. Harman, and Cody Harman.
