Earlene Chrismon <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

75, of 1306 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC, died early Friday morning at Moses Cone<br />

Hospital. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in<br />

Osceola Baptist Church Cemetery. She was retired from Chase Bag Company, was a<br />

member of First Baptist Church, and was a charter member of the Golden Rule Sunday<br />

School class. She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. <strong>Gunn</strong> of the home; stepsons,<br />

Harold <strong>Gunn</strong> of Greensboro, Thomas H. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Jacksonville, Fla.; one stepgrandson; two<br />

stepgranddaughters; sister, Irma Smith of Reidsville; sister-in-law, Mary B. Chrismon of<br />

Reidsville; and nephew, Richard R. Smith of Eden. She is the daughter of the late Robert<br />

L. and Betty Chrismon. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Saturday at Wilkerson Funeral Home.<br />

Earline B. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

age 75, of Fultondale, Alabama died January 17, 2000. Retired from the City of Fultondale<br />

with over 20 years of service. Member of Fultondale United Methodist Church. A graveside<br />

service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Walker<br />

Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Lee Bryant officiating. Visitation at Gardendale Chapel on<br />

Tuesday, January 18, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Survivors: daughters, Sue Scott, Chalkville;<br />

sons, Cecil <strong>Gunn</strong>, Thorsby, Charles <strong>Gunn</strong>, Jr., Fultondale; sisters, Christine Powell,<br />

Birmingham, Betty Blackman, Fultondale, Mary Waldrop, Hueytown; four grandchildren;<br />

MORGAN -- Ernest E. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 85, a retired general contractor, died Wednesday, Feb. 12,<br />

1997, in Athens, Texas. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Shannon Rose Hill<br />

Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Ernest E. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born March 16, 1911, in<br />

Thorndale. He was a general contractor in Fort Worth for 40 years. He retired in 1965 and<br />

moved to Lakeside Village in 1965. He was a Mason and a member of Morgan United<br />

Methodist Church. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Nita Kiker<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, William F. "Bill" and Carol <strong>Gunn</strong> of Fort<br />

Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle <strong>Gunn</strong> McCool and Loyd McCool of Athens;<br />

daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gene <strong>Gunn</strong> of Granbury; 14 grandchildren; and 21 greatgrandchildren.<br />

Elijah <strong>Gunn</strong> of Elkhart, Ind., refused the consult a regular physician but he took himself to<br />

a Christian science healer instead. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> died yesterday, September 19, 1889<br />

Elijah <strong>Gunn</strong>, a higly respected and well known resident of Eleveland township, died at the<br />

home of his son in law, Amos Shinn and daughter Minnie <strong>Gunn</strong> Shinn, at 7 o’clock this
