begin at noon EST Friday, March 4, at First Christian Church, 301 N. Mill St.,
Veedersburg, with Pastor Garland Pannell officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
Friday at the church and continue until noon. Interment at Bonebrake Cemetery,
Veedersburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church.

Della Gunn
ABERDEEN - Della Earnestine "Baby Ruth" Sykes Gunn, 82, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010,
at her home in Aberdeen. She was born March 13, 1928, to Abel Sykes Jr. and Lena Vasser
Sykes. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hebron M.B. Church. Services were
at 2 p.m. Oct. 30 at New Hebron M.B. Church with the Rev. Sam Crawford officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery. Williams Memorial Funeral Home of Okolona was in
charge of the arrangements. Survivors include six daughters, Christine Orr of Prairie,
Elaine Gunn of Aberdeen, Norma Clay of Aberdeen, Jeanette Swindall of Aberdeen, Ovie
Williams (Bennie) of Calumet City, Ill., and Lamonica Calvert (Johnnie) of Okolona; one
son, Darrell Gunn (Priscilla) of Aberdeen; two sisters, Lartha Ree (Mark) Collins of St.
Louis and Aggie Kyles of Elgin, Ill.; 31 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Will Gunn, and
three sons, Curtis Kent, Willie Walker and Stacy Gunn.
Delma Gunn
Delma Gunn Lancaster of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at
Eden Home at the age of 97 years. Delma was born on March 22, 1905, in Waelder, Texas,
to David James Gunn and Mary Miranda (Walker) Gunn. She married James Lancaster
on Nov. 17, 1923 in San Marcos, Texas. Mrs. Lancaster was a member of the Order Of The
Eastern Star. Delma was a teacher for some 12 years, having taught 4th and 5th grade. She
also worked as a secretary at Refugio High School. Mrs. Lancaster was also a member of
Canyon Lake United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James
Lancaster on Nov. 14, 1980. She is survived by daughters, Shirley Kirkpatrick of New
Braunfels, Texas, and Jimmie Mobley of Canyon Lake, Texas; brother, Guy Gunn and
wife Emily of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Alan, Karen and Scott Kirkpatrick and
Aimee Mobley Turney and George Mobley Jr. and great grandchildren, Calvin and
Chance Kirkpatrick and Blane, Braxton and Bryce Kirkpatrick. A memorial service will
be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at 3 p.m. at Canyon Lake United Methodist Church
with the Rev. Jim Roberts officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the
