St. Clair <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

After a lengthy battle with cancer, Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> passed peacefully surrounded by family on<br />

November 1, 2007, his 58th wedding anniversary. St. Clair Reed <strong>Gunn</strong> was born in Atlanta,<br />

GA on July 20, 1928 to David and Sinclara <strong>Gunn</strong>. He graduated from Williams High School<br />

in Stockbridge, MA and Lenox Preparatory in Lenox, MA. Upon graduation, St. Clair<br />

enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. After moving to Washington, DC, he became a foreman in<br />

construction and worked on many projects around the DC area, such as the Shrine of the<br />

Immaculate Conception, Nannie Helen Burroughs School and the Benning Road Bridge.<br />

After retirement, Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> enjoyed playing golf, where he won many awards. Devoted<br />

member of the Church of Our Saviour and always helped others. St. Clair is survived by his<br />

wife Barbara; his children Jean, Barbara "Sissy" Astore and Leslie <strong>Gunn</strong>-Jordan;<br />

grandchildren, Heather, Domonic and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Richard, Sidney,<br />

Hayden and McKai; brothers Wray and David; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.<br />

On Monday, November 5, services will be held at the Church of Our Saviour, 1616 Irving St.<br />

N.E., Washington, DC at 12:30 p.m., with the family viewing beginning at 12 p.m. The family<br />

invites all interested friends and relatives to attend this celebration of life. For futher details,<br />

Stacy <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Stacy <strong>Gunn</strong>, 49, died suddenly Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, in Okolona. He was born Jan. 4,<br />

1955, to Will <strong>Gunn</strong> and Earnestine Sykes <strong>Gunn</strong>. He was a member of Zion Spring M.B.<br />

Church. He received his education in the Okolona and Aberdeen school systems. He was an<br />

employee of Stylecraft Furniture. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Spring M.B.<br />

Church with the Rev. Spencer <strong>Gunn</strong> officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.<br />

Williams Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his<br />

father, Will <strong>Gunn</strong>, and his mother, Earnestine <strong>Gunn</strong>, of Aberdeen; two daughters, CaSonya<br />

S. Coggins of Aberdeen and Deetra L. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Okolona; a son, Stacy Martez <strong>Gunn</strong> of<br />

Okolona; the mother of his children, Wanda <strong>Gunn</strong> of Okolona; six sisters, Christine Orr and<br />

husband, Rev. Curtis Orr, of Prairie, Elaine Lomax and husband, Cleophus, of Aberdeen,<br />

Norma Ewing of Aberdeen, Ozie Jones and husband, Rev. James Jones, of Chicago, Jeanette<br />

Swindall and husband, Lawrence, of Memphis, LaMonica Calvert and husband, Johnnie, of<br />

Okolona; one brother, Darrell Maurice <strong>Gunn</strong> and wife, Priscilla, of Aberdeen; two<br />

grandchildren, Pedrianna Gathings and Jaylon I. Hogan.<br />

Stanley <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Stanley D. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 55, Festus, died Nov. 22, 2007, at his home. He was born Dec. 18, 1951, in<br />

St. Louis, the son of Floretine and Edith (Rosa) <strong>Gunn</strong>.He is survived by his brothers and<br />

sisters, Elaine Harris, Wanda Johnson, David <strong>Gunn</strong>, Patricia <strong>Gunn</strong>, Elizabeth (Jessie)<br />

Underwood; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Anthony, Chelsea, Sue, and Karen.He was<br />

preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Harold <strong>Gunn</strong>; and two nephews, Robby and<br />

Richard.Memorial service is 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Fey Funeral Home, Mehlville.<br />
