taking care of her family. She enjoyed her time at the Lake of the Ozarks with family and<br />

friends. She was a member of the Playgirls Bowling team at Gladstone Bowl. As a child she<br />

attended St. Stephens Catholic Church in Kansas City and was a longtime active member<br />

of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Gladstone. She was active in many of the<br />

church circles, including the Friendly Club and Women of Wisdom. Jerry also assisted<br />

with funeral luncheons and the church food pantry. In addition to her husband, she was<br />

preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jim <strong>Gunn</strong> and a sister, Marjorie Porter.<br />

Survivors include a daughter, Christine A. Stephens and husband Ted of Parkville, MO;<br />

three sons, Lawrence E. Meek of Fort Worth, TX, Dale J. Meek and wife Patricia of<br />

Kansas City, MO and Timothy M. Meek of Overland Park, KS; six grandchildren, Kara<br />

(Stephens) Stowers, Kyle Stephens, Elizabeth Meek, Dale J. Meek, Kelly Meek and Adam<br />

Meek. Mass of Christian burial will be 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, at St. Charles<br />

Catholic Church with Rev. Ken Riley as Celebrant. Interment will follow at White Chapel<br />

Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the church<br />

where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to<br />

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane Drive, Kansas City, MO<br />

Geraldine Rose <strong>Gunn</strong> (Light)<br />

Geraldine Rose Light, 73, of Grover, Colo., died May 15, 2004, at her home.She was born<br />

Nov. 25, 1930, in La Junta, Colo., to Walter E. and Freda E. (Mann) <strong>Gunn</strong>. She was raised<br />

in Rocky Ford, Colo., until she was 10. Lamar, Colo., ecame her home until she married<br />

Jimmie E. Light on Dec. 15, 1946. She raised her family in Shaw Heights, Westminster,<br />

Colo., and made stops in Boise, Idaho, Louisville, Ky., Granite City, Ill., Goodland, Kan.,<br />

and Greeley, Colo. She retired in Grover.During her working career, she worked in the<br />

aerospace industry at Ball Aerospace in Boulder, Colo., and she had also worked at<br />

Mothers Cookies in Louisville, Colo. Survivors are her husband, Jimmie Light of Grover;<br />

three daughters, Diana Clore of Grand Junction, Colo., Victoria Moss of Parlin, Colo., and<br />

Valorie Ferguson of Gilcrest, Colo.; two sons, Lance Light of Loveland, Colo., and Lee<br />

Light of Grover; her mother, Freda <strong>Gunn</strong>, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister Wanda <strong>Gunn</strong> of<br />

Scottsdale, Ariz. Her father and a brother, Robert McCall, are deceased. Memorial gifts<br />

may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado, 2726 11th St. Road,<br />

Greeley, Colo. 80634.<br />

Gerard J. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Jerry" of Kings Park NY (formerly of Brooklyn NY) born November 17, 1929 died on<br />

January 20, 2009. Beloved husband of Muriel (nee Stanton). Loving father of Kathleen<br />

Whalen and Gerard <strong>Gunn</strong> and father-in-law of Dr. Rick Whalen and Dena <strong>Gunn</strong>. Adored<br />

son of the late John and Alvena <strong>Gunn</strong>. Dear brother of Mary Maloney and the late John,<br />

Andrew, Edward, Alvena Tollefsen, Ann Schild and Robert. Cherished grandfather of<br />

Katie, Eileen, Elizabeth and Meghan Whalen and Nicholas and Sarah <strong>Gunn</strong>. Jerry was a<br />

<strong>New</strong> York City Policeman retiring from Motorcycle 2, Brooklyn NY and was also a
