family activities. She loved her family, and her family loved and will forever miss her. She<br />

was predeceased by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sister, Diane King;<br />

brother, Dan Yancey and wife, Jo; son, James W. Orchard, III and wife, Amy; daughter,<br />

Karen Snyder and husband, Douglas; grandchildren: Christopher <strong>Gunn</strong> and wife,<br />

Theresa; Bridgette Wommer; Allison Moss; J-Dub, Ashlyn and Chip Orchard; a niece,<br />

nephews and extended family members.The family wishes to express their appreciation to<br />

Dr. Alan S. Bock, nurses and staff of Deaconess Hospital and Integris Hospice House for<br />

their care and support given to Janice during her final illness. We also wish to thank her<br />

friends for their many visits, cards and care. She loved you all.Funeral service will be 11:00<br />

a.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at All Souls' Episcopal Church. Interment will be<br />

immediately following at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made<br />

Janice Ann <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

72, of Brunswick, MO died on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Brunswick Nursing Home.<br />

Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Funeral Home in Brunswick, MO Friday,<br />

March 11, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. Pastor Glen Drewitz officiating. Visitation will be at the<br />

Funeral Home on Thursday, from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. Burial will be in the Elliott Grove<br />

Cemetery at Brunswick, MO. Janice was born on December 15, 1938 at Brunswick, MO<br />

the daughter of John and Anella Bitter Susewind. She was married to Albert “Jerry “<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> on April 2, 1955 at Brunswick, MO. Jerry preceded her in death on January 18,<br />

2010. She and Jerry had owned and operated the <strong>Gunn</strong>’s Apco at Brunswick, MO. They<br />

had also been carriers for the Kansas City Star. She was a member of the St. John’s<br />

Lutheran Church at Brunswick, MO. She is survived by son, Kirk <strong>Gunn</strong> and his wife<br />

Brenda of Brunswick, MO; daughter, Linda <strong>My</strong>ers and her husband Mike of Brunswick,<br />

MO; son Duane “Skeeter” <strong>Gunn</strong> and his wife Julie of Brunswick, MO; two sisters, Andrea<br />

Murillo and Gloria Platter both of Belton, MO; six grandchildren and eight<br />

great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Brent<br />

Dickerson, Jan Casebolt, Steve Harmon, Jerri Jo <strong>My</strong>ers, Mike <strong>My</strong>ers and David <strong>Gunn</strong> .<br />

Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Breshears, Patsy Allen , J.R. Reichert, Randy Meyer and<br />

Roger White. Memorials may be made to: St John’s Lutheran Church or Elliott Grove<br />

Janice Enid Timms <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Janice Enid Timms <strong>Gunn</strong>, 83, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2005. Born April 12,<br />

1921 in Centerville, Utah, daughter of Thomas and Arminta Timms. Janice attended Davis<br />

High School and played the flute and piccolo and tap-danced. She attended business college<br />

in Salt Lake City and worked as a legal secretary for Bachman, Bachman, and Bachman<br />

Law Offices. During WWII, she worked at Hill AFB in the blue print department. In 1942,<br />

Janice met her husband, Lester, when she was a waitress at the old streetcar diner at<br />

Cherry Hill, and he was a military highway patrolman in the Army. They married on
