Orlando from there in 1954. She was a teacher. She was a Baptist. She was a member of the
Sunlight Pallbearers No. 230 and Morning Star OES No. 110. Survivors: husband, William
J., Winter Park; son, William J. Jr., Orlando; daughters, Jackie, Josephine, Joyce Stevens,
Janie Simmons, Patricia Williams, all of Orlando; mother, Rosa Lee Moses, Davenport;
brothers, Gilbert Moses, Davenport, Zernie Moses, San Francisco; sister, Martha Shepard,

Ridgeland, SC - Emile Gunn, 83, died Monday, April 22 at Memorial Medical Center in
Savannah as the result of a short illness. He was born Sept. 12, 1918 in Savannah to Lottie
Gunn. He was Comptroller for National Headquarters of Boy Scouts of America. He was a
member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church and was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII.
Survivors: son, Mark Christopher Gunn of Hamberg, NJ; daughter, Caroline Ingram
Garbade of Ridgeland, SC; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p. m.
Wednesday, April 24 at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 2:00 p. m. Thursday, April 25
at St. Pauls United Methodist Church, Ridgeland, SC. Burial: Ridgeland Cemetery.

Emory Gunn
A coroner's jury ruled that the death of Emory Gunn, 18, of Ignacio, Colo., Saturday night
July 4, 1959, was due to a self inflicted gunshot wound. Gunn died at a local hospital
several hours after he apparently shot himself in the mouth at Coronado Park, Second and
Indian School NW. According to police, Gunn was bleeding from his mouth and the upper
left portion of his head when he was found. A .22 caliber pistol was lying beneath his body.
Witnesses reported that he fired several wild shots, one of which struck a tree, then put the
gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger. The young man was reportedly released from the
Colorado State Reformatory June Since that time, police said, he had been staying with his
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Olguin, 4638 Ten St NW. Funeral
services will be held in Durango, Colo., according to the Garcia Mortuary. The date for the
services has not been set. The young man is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Graves Gunn, Durango, a brother, Harold Gunn, living in Colorado, and five other sisters;
Miss Althea Gunn, Albuqueque, Mrs. Corinne Rael and Misses Sylvia, Sandra and Janice
all of Colorado.
