Humboldt, Tennessee - Services for Betty Jean <strong>Gunn</strong>, 36, will be Saturday, May 11, 2002 at<br />

3:00 PM at Morning Star Baptist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. She died May<br />

7, 2002 at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon, Tennessee of heart failure. For more info call<br />

Betty Jean <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Elizabeth Jean Law - 9/10/98 Betty J. Law, 74, of Bridgeport, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998,<br />

at her residence. She was born in Grantsville, the daughter of the late James Alley <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

and Elizabeth Kelly <strong>Gunn</strong> McIntire. She was a graduate of Calhoun County High School<br />

and West Virginia Business College, and retired from the Harrison County Clerk's office<br />

where she served as bookkeeper. She was a member of Rachel Chapter #47 Order of<br />

Eastern Star (now Queen Ester Chapter #11). Surviving are two daughters, Victoria Seders<br />

of Bridgeport and Robin Compton of Farmington, N.M. one sister, Edna Fowler of Lorain,<br />

Ohio; and four grandchildren, Michael and Robert Seders of Bridgeport and Nathan and<br />

Tyler Compton of Farmington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Law;<br />

two brothers, Edward Bill <strong>Gunn</strong> and Robert <strong>Gunn</strong>; and two sisters, Eleanor Lutz and<br />

Emma "Boots" Johnson. Services were held at Bridgeport Cemetery, with Rev. Thomas P.<br />

Horne officiating. (Franklin and Mary McDaniel <strong>Gunn</strong> desc).<br />

Betty Jean <strong>Gunn</strong> Davis<br />

Funeral services for Betty Jean <strong>Gunn</strong> Davis, 64, of Clarkesville, Georgia, were held at 2<br />

p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with<br />

Wilford Dean and the Rev. Steve McIntyre officiating. Burial followed at Amy's Creek<br />

Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Davis died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Habersham Medical<br />

Center following a sudden illness. Born Dec. 7, 1944, in Habersham County, she was the<br />

daughter of Mildred Free <strong>Gunn</strong> of Demorest and the late Fred <strong>Gunn</strong>. In addition to her<br />

father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Young Davis; and sister, Virginia Cook..<br />

Mrs. Davis enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and fishing. In addition to her mother,<br />

survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Clint Chitwood of Clarkesville;<br />

son and daughter-in-law, William and Lisa Vandergriff of Clarkesville; brother and sisterin-law,<br />

Tommy and Peggy <strong>Gunn</strong> of Demorest; brother, Ronnie <strong>Gunn</strong> of Alto; sister and<br />

brother-in-law, Elaine and Willie D. Wheeler of Demorest; sister, Dorothy Parrish of<br />

Loganville; grandchildren, Hannah and her husband, Brandon DeMore, Kayla Chitwood,<br />

Cody Vandergriff; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the<br />

Clarkesville Soup Kitchen, P.O. Box 725, Cornelia, GA 30531<br />

Betty Jean <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

age 81 years, died 10/21/08. Preceded in death by husband, Bernard <strong>Gunn</strong>. Survived by<br />

daughter, Rene E. <strong>Gunn</strong>; sons, Bernard <strong>Gunn</strong> (Thelma), Michael and Douglas <strong>Gunn</strong>;<br />

sister, Doris Avery (William), all Omaha; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; other<br />

relatives; dear friends. Viewing Sun. 3-8 PM with family present from 6-7 PM. Celebration<br />

of Life Mon. 2 PM all at <strong>My</strong>ers Chapel with Ministers John and Vivian Ewing officiating.<br />
