Mildred <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

WARRENTON, Ga. - Mrs. Mildred Lanette Phelps <strong>Gunn</strong>, age 73, beloved wife of Mr. James<br />

L. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Macon Highway S.W., entered into rest Friday, September 5, 2003 at McDuffie<br />

Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday September 7,2003<br />

at Johnson United Methodist Church, Warren County with Rev. Carol Fox officiating.<br />

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Johnson United<br />

Mildred Ann <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

age 80, of Adrian, Michigan, expired at home on Monday, May 18, 2009. She was born to<br />

Frank and Alice (Thompson) Yensch on July 18, 1928. Mildred attended St. Mary’s school<br />

until the ninth grade. On June 5, 1954, she married Harold <strong>Gunn</strong> at the St. Mary’s rectory.<br />

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Adrian. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> served many years<br />

as a member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society, and as president in 1965. Her hobbies<br />

included playing euchre, ornithology, traveling on several occasions to see her daughter in<br />

California, and she was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers Baseball Team. In music<br />

appreciation, she enjoyed the Big Bands and the Irish Tenors. Millie is survived by her<br />

husband, Harold; her two daughters, Renee <strong>Gunn</strong> of Corona, Calif., and Marie <strong>Gunn</strong> of<br />

Adrian; a sister, Delores Horn; a brother-in-law, Leeland <strong>Gunn</strong> and his wife, Dee, of<br />

Montpelier, Ohio; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mildred<br />

was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Miles Horn of Madison Township; an uncle,<br />

Robert Thompson of Adrian; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Yensch of Adrian; her<br />

brothers, Jack, Dave and Ron Yensch, all of Adrian; and lastly, an infant son, Ralph.<br />

Funeral services for Millie will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s<br />

Catholic Church with Father Bob Schramm presiding. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills<br />

Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the<br />

Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, where a Vigil Prayer Service will be held on Friday<br />

evening at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of funeral<br />

liturgy at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.<br />

Mildred Clifton <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Born June 2, 1914 in Ashland City, Tn. She moved with her parents to Nashville at an early<br />

age, and attended Litton High School and David Lipscomb College. She married Eugene<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> in 1933 in Franklin, Ky. She and her husband moved to Brownfield, TX in 1938. They<br />

subsequently moved to Seagraves and in 1941 to Brownfield. She died December 3, 2001, in<br />

Brownfield. Interment was in the Terry County Cemetery. She is survived by her children,<br />

Virginia Dean <strong>Gunn</strong> Vertz, of Lynn, Massachusetts, Charles William <strong>Gunn</strong> of Midland,
