<strong>Gunn</strong>, he was a truck driver and a member of Cleaton Baptist Church. He was preceded in<br />

death by a brother, Daniel”Danny Boy” <strong>Gunn</strong>. Survivors include a son, David <strong>Gunn</strong> of<br />

Central City; a daughter, Angela Keating of Cleaton; two sisters, Betty Geary of Cleaton<br />

and Kathleen Taylor of Palastine, Ill.; five brothers, Jimmy <strong>Gunn</strong> of Central City, Buddy<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> of Cleaton, Johnny <strong>Gunn</strong> of Graham, Kenny <strong>Gunn</strong> of South Carrollton and Mitchell<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> of Greenville; his companion for life, Shirley <strong>Gunn</strong>; eight grandchildren and two<br />

great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Feb. 3 at Tucker Funeral Home<br />

with the Rev. Ernest Bean and the Rev. Ted Everly officiating. Burial followed in Miller<br />

Cemetery in Cleaton (Thomas and Sarah Boatwright <strong>Gunn</strong> descendant)<br />

David Westley <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

GASTONIA - David Westley <strong>Gunn</strong>, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 27, 2012, at<br />

the Robin Johnson House. David was born on April 20, 1949, to the late Oscar Lamb and<br />

Viola King <strong>Gunn</strong> in Habersham County, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents, his<br />

wife of 41 years, Sherry Ann Christenbury <strong>Gunn</strong> who died in 2007, his brothers, Orville,<br />

Eddie, Louis, and sisters Shirley Ann, Suzy and Barbara Jean. David was a loving<br />

husband, father, grandfather and brother. Survivors include his sons, Michael David<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> and fiancée Tammy Parker of Gastonia; Christopher Mack <strong>Gunn</strong> and wife Aimee of<br />

Gastonia; grand-children, Stuart and Sandra <strong>Gunn</strong>, Gates and Sarah <strong>Gunn</strong>, Ragan and<br />

fiancé Chad Huffstetler, Taylor, Jessica, Ashley, Savannah and Chase; greatgrandchildren,<br />

Corey, Madison, Wesley, Luke, Avery and Hannah Claire; brothers,<br />

Charles, Bobby, Roy, and Donnie all of Gastonia and Billy of Clover, S.C.; sisters, Havis<br />

Hale and Linda Becham of Gastonia. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.<br />

Wednesday at the Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will<br />

be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Withers & Whisenat Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Davis <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

85, textile retiree, died Feb. 7, 1990, at Piedmont Medical Center. Funeral is 11 a.m. Friday<br />

at Greene Funeral Home. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home. Survivors<br />

are his son, Davis <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr.; daughter, Mrs. Addie Bolin of Blacksburg; stepsons, Tommy<br />

Goins of Florida, Willie Goins; stepdaughters, Mrs. Vernie Merritt of Fort Mill, Mrs.<br />

Audrey Miller of Monroe, N.C. ROCK HILL - Mrs. Viola Boggs Johnson, textile retiree,<br />

died Feb. 6, 1990, at Camphaven Nursing Home in Inman. Funeral is 2 p.m. Friday at<br />

Northside Baptist Church. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home. Survivors<br />

are her son, Larry Johnson; daughter, Mrs. Helen Camp of Inman; brother, Otis De Loach<br />

of Columbia; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Leister, Miss Gertrude De Loach.<br />

ROCK HILL, SC - Services for Davis "Bill" Howard <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr., 66, will be held at 3 p.m.<br />

Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints-Catawba Ward, with burial in the<br />

church cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 this evening at Greene Funeral Home Northwest<br />

Chapel. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> died Monday. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Davis H. Sr.
