119, died Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Danville Regional Medical Center. Born July 13, 1949,
he was the son of Lou Henderson Gunn and the late Bernard Gunn Sr. He was of the
Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, of Pelham, he is survived by one son, Darnell Lea
of Yanceyville; one brother, Larry Gunn of Providence; and three sisters, Ponoca Louise
McCain of Providence, Shirley Gunn of Pelham, and Pamela Jordon of Greensboro. The
funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Fulton Funeral Home Chapel with
the Rev. Everett Dickerson officiating. Interment will be in the Blackwell Baptist Church
Cemetery. The body may be viewed Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Fulton Funeral Home
Chapel. The family will be at the residence of his mother, 1102 Henderson Road, Pelham.

Bernard (Rudy) Gunn,
69, of Richmond, died Friday, March 3, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Garrett
Gunn; four daughters, Elaine Gunn, Kim Earle and her husband, Tommy Earle, Terry G.
Chaney and her husband, Ronald B. Chaney Jr., Lisa G. Thomas and her husband,
Michael S. Thomas; four grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter and two
adopted granddaughters, one niece and two nephews. Mr. Gunn was a retired employee of
A. H. Robins, a volunteer fire fighter for Henrico County, a U. S. Marine Corps veteran
and a scout leader with the Boy Scouts Troop #554. Remains rest at the Nelson Funeral
Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.,
Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and where funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Sunday.

Bernard William Gunn died Feb 8, 1990 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was fourth generation
Irish in America born in Cincinnati, Ohio, February 11, 1916 to William Michael Gunn
(1891-1956)and Laura Mary, nee Moore (1896-1959). He has a Sister Miriam born 1918, a
brother William Joseph, (1920-1982) and a non-surviving sister Alexis (1932). He is
survived by his wife, Evelyn Nina Reider Gunn, sons Michael Bernard (Nov 1939), Dennis
Arthur (1941) and daughter Kathleen Marie (1943)
