Rosemary <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

A funeral Mass for Rosemary <strong>Gunn</strong>, nee Overschmidt, 84, Union, was held Friday, Aug. 24,<br />

at Immaculate Conception Church, Union.Burial was in the church cemetery.Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012.She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Rahl and<br />

husband Tom, Union, and Mary J. Maxfield and husband Jim, Sparta, Ill.; other relatives<br />

and many friends.The family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Union. Published in<br />

Rosemary E. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

JANESVILLE, Wisconsin- Rosemary E. (Beggs) <strong>Gunn</strong>, 80, a lifelong Janesville resident,<br />

passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, July 6, 2005, at Mercy Hospital. She<br />

was born in Janesville on Aug. 26, 1924, the daughter of the late Edward & Agnes (Reilly)<br />

Beggs. She attended and graduated from St. Mary"s Catholic School and graduated from<br />

Janesville High School, class of 1943. After graduation she was employed by the Wisconsin<br />

Power & Light Co. On June 27, 1950, she married Kevin F. <strong>Gunn</strong> at St. Mary"s Catholic<br />

Church, Janesville. Together they farmed for many years on Route 5. She was a longtime<br />

and very faithful member of St. Patrick"s Catholic Church and had been a 4-H Leader when<br />

her children were active. But her life truly revolved around her family, and she loved<br />

nothing more than spending time with all of them, especially her grandchildren! Rosemary is<br />

survived by her 6 children: Msgr. James <strong>Gunn</strong> of Waunakee, WI, Michael <strong>Gunn</strong>, Joan (Carl<br />

Jr.) Pruefer, Joseph <strong>Gunn</strong>, Kathleen (Peter) Daluge, and Kevin (Kelli) <strong>Gunn</strong> II, all of<br />

Janesville; her 11 beloved grandchildren: James L., Shawn, Andy and Amy <strong>Gunn</strong>, Sarah<br />

Pruefer, Peter, Bridget, Erin, and Megan Daluge, and Gabriel and Katherine <strong>Gunn</strong>; her 2<br />

brothers, Vincent (Eileen) Beggs and Robert (Rita) Beggs; her 2 sisters, Dorothy (Ted)<br />

Youngman and Mary (Tom) Kennedy; 2 sisters-in-law, Kathleen Beggs and Ruth Beggs, all<br />

of Janesville; many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents,<br />

she was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher <strong>Gunn</strong>; her sister, Geraldine (Loren)<br />

Guseman; and by 4 brothers: Francis, Edward, James, and John Donald, who died in<br />

infancy. Funeral services with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on<br />

Monday, July 11, 2005, at ST. PATRICK"S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 315 Cherry St., with<br />

Msgr. James <strong>Gunn</strong> celebrating, Rev. James Kuhn concelebrating, and the Most Rev. Robert<br />

C. Morlino presiding. Burial will take place in the Town of Rock Cemetery. Friends may call<br />

on Sunday afternoon and evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at ST. PATRICK"S CATHOLIC<br />

CHURCH, or from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Monday, also at the church. Memorials in her<br />

name may be made to St. Patrick"s Catholic Church, the St. John the Baptist Catholic<br />

Church Building Fund, Waunakee, WI, or to a charity of the donor"s choice. The<br />

WHITCOMB-LYNCH-ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME, JANESVILLE, is assisting her<br />

family with the arrangements.<br />
