Mary Sherlock <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Mary Sherlock 92 2/9/1917 8/15/2009 Mary Sherlock <strong>Gunn</strong> was born Feb. 9, 1917, and died<br />

Aug. 15, 2009. Mary is survived by three children and their spouses; eight grandchildren;<br />

and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, in<br />

St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, one block north of Division Street on 148th. The<br />

service will include a rosary prayer starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10 a.m.<br />

Mary Lee <strong>Gunn</strong> Lenk<br />

Mary Lee Lenk, 83, of Marysville, Michigan died, Saturday, July 14, 2007. She was born<br />

March 1, 1924 in Loraine, Texas to the late William and Willie <strong>Gunn</strong>. She married Melton<br />

John Lenk on November 24, 1945 in Weatherford, Texas. He died January 19, 1994. Mrs.<br />

Lenk was employed in Food Service for Detroit Edison. She was a member of Marysville<br />

United Methodist Church, Life Member of the Marysville American Legion Post 449<br />

Auxiliary, Women of the Moose Chapter #99 and Elks Club. She enjoyed playing cards<br />

and was a member of several social clubs. Her main interest in life was her family and she<br />

loved and cared for all of them. She will be greatly missed. Her sense of humor and<br />

feistiness were one of a kind and a source of joy to everyone around her. She is survived by<br />

her daughter, Sandy (Tom) Roehl of Kimball; three grandchildren, Carla (Scott)<br />

Steinhaus, Kevin (Amy) Roehl and Chris (Joanie) Roehl; six great-grandchildren, Amanda,<br />

Patrick, Kelsey and Cody Steinhaus, Haileigh and Harrison Roehl; a brother, Stanley<br />

(Elizabeth) <strong>Gunn</strong> of Waco, Texas; brother-in-law, George Hester of Weatherford, Texas;<br />

several nieces and nephews; and many other friends and relatives. Visitation will be 2-4<br />

and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00<br />

a.m. on Wednesday in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Barbara E. Welbaum<br />

will officiate. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Pallbearers will be<br />

Clarence Spencer Jr., Tom Loughren, Don Kujat, John Crisenberry, Joe Petrossi and Bill<br />

Granger. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Blue Water<br />

Mary <strong>Gunn</strong> Davis<br />

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Mary G. Davis, 80, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at her daughters<br />

home in North Hampton.She was born March 5, 1924, in South Boston, Va., the daughter<br />

of the late Romeo W. and Lucy (Meador) <strong>Gunn</strong>. She lived in Hanover for 32 years, retiring<br />

to Chapel Hill in 1983. She was a graduate of South Boston High School, where she was<br />

valedictorian of her class and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. Mrs. Davis was a<br />

homemaker, a member of the League of Women Voters and a volunteer for the public<br />

library in Hanover. The widow of Kenneth R. Davis, a professor at Dartmouth College, she<br />

is survived by one son, John G. Davis of Clemmons, N.C.; one daughter, Jane D. Copp of<br />

North Hampton; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, Raymond<br />

W. <strong>Gunn</strong>. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in OakRidge Cemetery,
