St. Louis, Mo. - Elizabeth D. (nee Huffman) on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Beloved wife<br />

of the late William E. <strong>Gunn</strong>; dear mother of Mark (Charmaine) <strong>Gunn</strong>, Lesa (Glen)<br />

Williams and Holly (Todd) Wilkinson; dear grandmother of Erin and Evan Williams,<br />

Alexandra and Joseph Wilkinson; dear sister of Lila Davis; dear friend. Services: Funeral<br />

from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. (At Butler Hill) on<br />

Monday, October 3, 1 p.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.<br />

Elizabeth E. <strong>Gunn</strong> -<br />

Thursday, April 6, 2000 -Former Jewell County, Kan., resident Elizabeth Ellen<br />

(Regensberg) <strong>Gunn</strong>, 87, of Belleville, Kan., died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Lutheran Care<br />

Home in Belleville. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Megrue-Price Funeral Home chapel in<br />

Superior with the Rev. Jon Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery<br />

near Hardy. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral<br />

home. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born Dec. 7, 1912, to Joseph and Lillian (Miller) Regensberg near<br />

Guadalupita, N.M. She moved with her family at an early age to Las Vegas, N.M., and<br />

attended Las Vegas Public Schools. She also worked at Montgomery Ward in Las Vegas.<br />

On July 24, 1933, she married Preston <strong>Gunn</strong> in Las Vegas. They moved to Jewell County.<br />

On Sept. 21, 1974, her husband died. She wrote a news column for the Hardy Herald for<br />

several years and then for the Superior Express. She moved to a nursing home in Belleville<br />

in 1995. She served on the Star School District board and was a former member of the<br />

Union Church in Hardy. Survivors are one daughter, Sandra Skinner of Superior; one son,<br />

Steve of Superior; two sisters, Bertha Wells of Clovis, N.M., and Rosemarie McCurry of<br />

Santa Fe, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.She also was preceded in<br />

death by two sons, Don and Ed; two sisters; five brothers; and one grandchild. Memorials<br />

may be sent in care of the family.<br />

Elizabeth Ellen <strong>Gunn</strong> -<br />

Elizabeth Ellen <strong>Gunn</strong>, 87, Belleville, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Lutheran Care Home<br />

in Belleville. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born Elizabeth Regensberg on Dec. 7, 1912, near Guadalupita,<br />

N.M., and was a longtime Jewell County resident. She had worked at Montgomery Ward in<br />

Las Vegas, N.M. She served on the Star School District Board and was a member of Union<br />

Church in Hardy, White Rock Ladies Aide and Jewell Social Circle. She wrote a column in<br />

the Hardy Herald and the Superior Express and had a quilting business. She was preceded<br />

in death by her husband, Preston, in 1974; two sons, Don and Ed; and a grandson.<br />

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Skinner of Superior, Neb.; a son, Steve of Superior;<br />

two sisters, Bertha Wells of Clovis, N.M., and Rosemarie McCurry of Santa Fe, N.M.; 11<br />

grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at<br />

Megrue-Price Funeral Chapel, 750 N. Commercial, Superior 68978, Pastor Jon Albrecht
