97, of Noblesville, Ind, passed away April 30, 2012. Services at 10 am, Thursday May 3, 2012<br />

at Randall and Roberts Funeral Center. Visitation Web. May 2, 2012 from 4 - 8 pm at the<br />

funeral home, with a Masonic service at 8 pm. Burial Carey Cemetery in Noblesville.<br />

Aug. 28, 1914 - April 30, 2012 - NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — Orval W. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 97, of Noblesville,<br />

died April 30, 2012, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He retired after 30 years as a<br />

master carpenter, having worked through Carpenter Local 352 in Anderson. Survivors<br />

include his wife, A. Irene Holladay <strong>Gunn</strong>; son, Barry <strong>Gunn</strong>; and daughter, Janice Ann<br />

Ward. Service 10 a.m. Thursday at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield<br />

Road, Noblesville. Burial in Carey Cemetery, Noblesville. Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. today.<br />

Orvie J. <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

75, of Girard, Illinois, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at his home. He was born June 28,<br />

1931. A son, Jerry <strong>Gunn</strong>, preceded him in death in 1986. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> worked as a mechanic<br />

for Garst Service Station. He later worked for Thermic Refactories in Girard and was a<br />

custodian for the Girard public schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.<br />

Surviving are his son, Orvie E. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Girard; daughter, Shelley Talkington (Michael) of<br />

Girard; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Verneda Green of Girard.<br />

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home<br />

in Girard. Services will be there at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Girard<br />

Cemetery.Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society<br />

Orville Ray <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

91, OCALA - Orville Ray <strong>Gunn</strong>, 91, a retired carpenter, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004. A native<br />

of Mulberry, Kan., he moved here from Corpus Christi, Texas, 30 years ago. He was a<br />

member of Solid Rock Bible Church in Ocklawaha. Survivors include his daughter, Peggy<br />

Smith, Ocala; three grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death<br />

by his wife, Flora Mae <strong>Gunn</strong>. Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala, provided information.<br />

(1918 - 2004)WEST UNITY -Orville William <strong>Gunn</strong>, 86, of West Unity, died Monday, Nov.<br />

29, 2004, at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan.Born at the family<br />

homestead in West Unity on Jan. 22, 1918, to Alice (Rice) and James Orville <strong>Gunn</strong>, he<br />

married Joan Gier on Aug. 17, 1940, and she survives and resides on the family homestead. A<br />

West Unity High School graduate, he attended Bowling Green State University and became a<br />

self-employed farmer. He was a member of the Brady Grange, the F&AM Superior Lodge<br />

No. 179 of West Unity for 65 years, and the West Franklin Methodist Church.In addition to<br />

his wife of 64 years, he is survived by a son, Jim (and wife, Ann) <strong>Gunn</strong> of Loveland; a<br />

daughter, Mrs. Gary (Charlotte) Smith of West Unity; eight grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren;<br />

and a son-in-law, Vernon Jones of Troy, Mich. Preceding him in death were<br />

his parents; a daughter, Sharon Jones in April of 2004; and his sister, Viola Neefe.Visitation<br />

will be held Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Hollingshead-Beck Funeral Home in<br />

West Unity.Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor<br />

Mike Raypholtz to officiate. Burial will be in the West Franklin Cemetery of rural West<br />

Unity. Memorials may be made to the West Franklin Methodist Church Building Fund.
