GUNN, EVERLYN ALEXANDER, age 102, of Hueytown, AL and a resident of Bessemer<br />

for over 74 years, went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2007. Funeral Services will be<br />

held at Fifth Avenue Bethel Baptist on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 12:00 Noon with burial<br />

in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Adger. Rev. Calvin Bell officiating. Visitation will<br />

be held on Friday 1:00-8:00P.M Survivors: daughter, Carolyn G. Ivey of Hueytown, AL;<br />

son, Bomer <strong>Gunn</strong> of Fort Walton Beach, FL<br />

Elva Dean Hall <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Nov. 18, 1935-June 12, 2011 - Elva Dean Hall <strong>Gunn</strong>, 75, of Demorest, Georgia, died<br />

Sunday. Funeral service, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Whitfield<br />

Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest<br />

Elva Joyce <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Graveside services for Elva Joyce <strong>Gunn</strong>, 76, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002 at<br />

Walnut Grove Cemetery of Franklin County, Tenn., Johnathan Clark officiating. Cullman<br />

Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> died Monday, Jan. 21 at<br />

her residence. She was born May 18, 1925 in Huntsville. She was a school teacher and a<br />

member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her parents,<br />

Jesse L. and Elva Sartain Griner. Survivors include a son, Charles Thomas <strong>Gunn</strong> of Crane<br />

Hill; a daughter, Brenda Lee <strong>Gunn</strong> of Nashville, Tenn.; a half-brother, William "Bill"<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> of Dothan; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.<br />

Elvie <strong>Gunn</strong> Salter<br />

NORMAN PARK - Elvie G. Salter, 103, of Norman Park, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at<br />

her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Baker Funeral Home<br />

Chapel in Moultrie. Dr. Jimmy Voyles will officiate. Burial will follow at Deep Bottom<br />

Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Buddy Sutton, Ricky Hembree, Serell Hembree, Joey Salter,<br />

David Hancock and Lee Salter.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Baker<br />

Funeral Home. Born Feb. 17, 1900, in Worth County, Mrs. Salter was the daughter of Van<br />

D. <strong>Gunn</strong> and Anzor Scott <strong>Gunn</strong>, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her<br />

husband, T.W. Salter, and one daughter, Alice Salter Sutton. She was a homemaker and a<br />

member of the Freewill Baptist faith. Mrs. Salter is survived by four sons, Roy Salter and<br />

wife, Christine, of Norman Park, Walter Lee Salter and wife, Joyce, of Norman Park,<br />

Carol Salter and wife, Christine, of Sylvester, and Randall Salter and wife Bonnie of<br />

Crosland; three daughters, Lettie Key of Norman Park, Lillie Hembree of Omega and Mae<br />

Dell Hancock and husband, Hoyt, of Moultrie; two sisters, Sally Belle Blalock of Norman<br />

Park and Agnes Paulk of Plant City, Fla.; 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; 23<br />

great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Carolyn Horne. Baker
