due to apoplexy. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was of a pleasant and friendly disposition and an industrious and<br />

well respected citizen. He leaves several grown sons and daughters. At the time The Enquirer<br />

goes to press, funeral arrangements have not been announced. February 22, 1908 - The<br />

remain of Wyatt <strong>Gunn</strong> whose death was mentioned in our last issue were taken on Sunday to<br />

Millstone, his former home for burial. Owing to the condition of the roads, it was impossible<br />

to drive from here to the burial place and the steamer Gazelle was chartered and the remains<br />

accompanied by relatives and friends of the deceased were conveyed there by boat. Deceased<br />

was 74 years old and was the father of fourteen children, seven of whom are living. He was a<br />

resident of Cannelton for 24 years and for twenty years had been a valued employee of the<br />

Yoko H <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

,59, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010, in Gainesville, Fla. She was born May 5, 1950, in<br />

Okinawa, Japan. She was a homemaker, member of the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church<br />

and had been a resident of Avon Park, Fla., since 1979, coming from Bowling Green, Fla. She<br />

is survived by James Wiseman of Avon Park; daughters, Racquel Cox (Brian) of Avon Park<br />

and Renae Massey (Wesley) of Avon Park; son, Wayne <strong>Gunn</strong> of Sebring, Fla.; sisters,<br />

Tomoko Nakumura, Kyom and Emeko Tiluya, all of Okinawa, Japan; brothers, Yoseo Higa<br />

and Yusake Higa, both of Okinawa, Japan; and six grandchildren. A visitation will take place<br />

6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Avon Park.<br />

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2010, at Avon Park Lakes<br />

Baptist Church, with the Rev. George Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pisgah<br />

Cemetery in Bowling Green, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to the Avon Park<br />

Yorke John <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Col. Yorke John <strong>Gunn</strong> passed away Jan. 8, 2004. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m.<br />

Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church in Amarillo. Burial at Llano<br />

Cemetery. He was born February 21, 1921. Col. Yorke John <strong>Gunn</strong> graduated from Galena<br />

High School in Galena, Illinois and University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa and graduated<br />

from University of Oklahoma. He was the Operations Officer at Tinker Air Force Base. He<br />

served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He married Margaret Mae Harris, daughter<br />

of Judge and Mrs. Thomas SheltonHarris of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, in Elizabeth City, North<br />

Carolina on 7/8/1943 in First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his sister<br />

Jean Fleege, brother, William <strong>Gunn</strong> and parents. He is survived by daughter: Sherie Lynn<br />

Gaultney of Amarillo, TX; granddaughter: Ashley Braboy of San Antonio, TX. Family<br />

suggests memorials be made to American Parkinson"s Disease Association, P.O. Box 19721,<br />

Amarillo, TX 79114<br />

Zack Marvin <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

age 50, of Louisville, KY., died Thursday, November 24, 2005 in Birmingham, AL. He<br />

graduated from Wenonah High School, Birmingham, AL. He is survived by his wife, Linda<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>; daughters, Anitra <strong>Gunn</strong> (Bruce) Gardner and Navetta <strong>Gunn</strong>; brothers, Morris (Eva),<br />

Johnny L. and Wallace (Merilyn) <strong>Gunn</strong>; sisters, Brenda, Jacqueline and Christa <strong>Gunn</strong> and<br />

Linda Briggs; grandchildren, Demetrius, Zavier and Amaurea <strong>Gunn</strong> and Justyce Matzek.
