Cheryl <strong>Gunn</strong> McCorkle<br />

Cheryl L. McCorkle, 52, of Fort Lupton died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004 at her home. She was<br />

born Jan. 29, 1952, in Lexington, Neb., to Donald and Virginia (Styles) <strong>Gunn</strong>. Mrs.<br />

McCorkle lived in Fort Lupton Colorado for 30 years. She worked as a baker at the<br />

Branding Iron Restaurant for nine years. She enjoyed sports and music and loved her<br />

friends and her only grandchild. Survivors are two sons, Stuart McCorkle of Castle Rock<br />

and Cory McCorkle of Fort Lupton; a sister, Chrissy <strong>Gunn</strong> of Bayard, Neb.; a brother,<br />

brother, Chuck <strong>Gunn</strong> of Pine Bluffs, Ariz.; and her grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m.<br />

Tuesday at Bostick Funeral Home, 806 Denver Ave., Fort Lupton. Interment will be<br />

Charlotte Annette <strong>Gunn</strong> Rigsby<br />

April 10, 1937 - November 23, SALEM - Charlotte Annette Rigsby was born on April 10,<br />

1937 in Junction City, Kansas, to Kenneth and Marie <strong>Gunn</strong>. In 1942, the family relocated<br />

to California. Charlotte and Donald were married on February 23, 1957 in Los Angeles,<br />

California. Charlotte was a working mother. She was snack bar manager at the Big Sky<br />

drive-in theater. She was later a customer service employee at Gemco. In 1971, Charlotte<br />

and her family relocated to Oregon. She continued her career at Kmart in Beaverton.<br />

Later, she moved on to Tektronix. After eight years she retired due to Rheumatoid<br />

Arthritis. Charlotte loved to dance and enjoyed a wide variety of music. She would pass the<br />

time with her word search puzzles and playing family board games with her<br />

grandchildren. Comedies were her favorite movies.In 1993, she was diagnosed with<br />

terminal cancer. Over the next fourteen years, she was found to be in remission five<br />

times.Charlotte had unbelievable strength for herself and for everyone’s life she touched.<br />

She refused to give up or give in. Charlotte always enjoyed being surrounded by family and<br />

friends, entertaining us all with her jokes and anecdotes.Charlotte is survived by her older<br />

sister, Aleta Lasater of California; and three brothers, Bill Fisher, Skip <strong>Gunn</strong>, and John<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>, all of Oregon. Charlotte is also survived by Donald Rigsby, her husband of fifty<br />

years. She was a loving mother of four children, Debra, Doug, Jaime, and Darren; and<br />

fifteen grandchildren, Ricky, Dawn, Ryan, Stephanie, Dustin, Adam, Aaron, Nate, Sam,<br />

Anjeanette, Natasha, Derek, Calvin, Emily, and Kayla. She also leaves behind nine greatgrandchildren;<br />

Devon, Katie, Brooklyn, Austyn, Ashley, Hunter, Zachary, Blayne, and<br />

Logan. We were all blessed to have had such an angel in our lives. She will be missed by so<br />

many, loved by us all.A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 12,<br />

2008 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service, 605 Commercial St. SE, Salem; with a reception<br />

to follow<br />

Charlotte J. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

80, died Wednesday, September 22, 2004, at her Indianapolis, Ind. residence. She was born<br />

March 3, 1924, in Indianapolis. Her father was Richard J. Bennett. Her mother is Edythe<br />

M. (Lister) Bennett of Indianapolis. She married Charles <strong>Gunn</strong>. He preceded her in death.<br />

Survivors include a son, Charles R. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Orlando, FL; a brother, James Bennett of<br />

Fishers, IN; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a
