BOSSIER CITY, LA - Evonne Baker Morgan <strong>Gunn</strong>, 76, died on Wednesday, January 21,<br />

2009. She leaves behind one daughter, Fran Evans of Bossier City, her beloved sister, Patsy<br />

Ekengren, 4 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her spirit is finally free from a<br />

Ewing J. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Wednesday, August 27, 2003 Services are pending for Ewing J. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 82, of Lawrence,<br />

Kansas, and will be announced by Warren Mc-Elwain Mortuary. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> died Tuesday,<br />

Aug. 26, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was a retired service manager for Jim<br />

Clark Motors. Thursday, August 28, 2003 - Services for Ewing J. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 82, Lawrencce,<br />

will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Mustard Seed Fellowship. Burial will be in Oak Hill<br />

Cemetery with military graveside services by Alford-Clarke Post No. 852 of the Veterans of<br />

Foreign Wars. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He<br />

was born Oct. 29, 1920, in Elvins, Mo., the son of Ewing and Neva Davenport <strong>Gunn</strong>. Mr.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Jim Clark Motors for<br />

19 years and retired as a service manager. He was recently a driver and monitor for<br />

Laidlaw Transit Co. He was past commander of the VFW post, past chaplain of Disabled<br />

American Veterans and a member of Mustard Seed Fellowship. He followed youth baseball<br />

in the Lawrence area during the 1980s and "90s and often served as team chaplain. He had<br />

owned and operated <strong>Gunn</strong>"s Tune Up & Speed Shop in the 1960s and was active in race<br />

car competition. He was known in the drag racing world as "The Legend." He married<br />

Norma Connett on July 3, 1954, in Perry. She survives, of the home. Other survivors<br />

include four daughters, Jane Triplett, Lecompton, Denise Stauffer and Sandy Coulter, both<br />

of Lawrence, and Cleta Henick, Tonganoxie; two sons, Ewing Duane and Foister Miracle,<br />

both of Lawrence; a half brother, Charles Ketchum, Tonganoxie; a half sister, Neva Foster,<br />

Callahan, Fla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive<br />

friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. The family suggests<br />

memorials to the Ewing <strong>Gunn</strong> Memorial Fund, sent in care of the mortuary. (Thomas and<br />

Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - February 27, 1999- JACKSON - Ewing Sparks<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>, 98, of Birmingham, formerly of Jackson, retired radiologist, died of heart failure<br />

Feb. 20 at her home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hollywood Cemetery.<br />

Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of First Presbyterian<br />

Church in Jackson and the first president of Tennessee Radiologic Technologist Society.<br />

Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong>, the widow of David Hughes <strong>Gunn</strong>, leaves a daughter, Rebecca <strong>Gunn</strong> Goodin of
