Ola Mae <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

DALHART - Ola Mae Heiskell, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004. Graveside services will be at<br />

2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rusty Hancock, minister of Lincoln Street<br />

Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home. Mrs. Heiskell was<br />

born Feb. 2, 1919, in McKinney, to Abe and Stella <strong>Gunn</strong>. She came to the Dalhart/Hartley<br />

area as a young girl with her family. Ola Mae owned a cafe, worked for Scotty"s Seven<br />

Eleven and Weldon and Oleta Dendy. She married Ralph Heiskell on Jan. 14, 1948, in<br />

Tucumcari, N.M. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She was a loving grandmother,<br />

great-grandmother and caregiver for her husband, Ralph Heiskell, during his illness. She<br />

was a member for many years of First Baptist Church of Dalhart. She was preceded in death<br />

by her husband on June 24, 1983; her parents, Abe <strong>Gunn</strong> and Stella Flowers; two sisters,<br />

Mildred Shirley and Mattie Pitchett; and a brother, William Vernon <strong>Gunn</strong> Survivors include<br />

a daughter, Mary Ruth Beller and husband, Joseph Niel; three grandsons, Joseph Andrew<br />

Beller and wife, Erin, of Amarillo, and Scott Casey Beller and Christopher Ryan Beller, both<br />

of Lubbock; six great-grandchildren, Breanne Nicole Beller, Faith Marie Beller and Chrissa<br />

Brenae Beller, all of Dalhart, and Tyler Andrew Beller, Justin Bradley Beller and Morgan<br />

Ashely Beller, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Gladys Rogers and Margie Overstreet of Graham;<br />

Ola Mae Ivy <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

86, of Wray, Ga., formerly of Plant City, died Saturday at Coffee Regional Medical Center in<br />

Douglas, Ga. A native of Emanuel County, Ga., she was a member of the Lumber City<br />

Church of God. She is survived by two sons, Grady of Lakeland and Graham of Plant City;<br />

two daughters, Frankie Smith of Wray and Chessie Mae Cooper of Hernando; 13<br />

grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Sims Funeral Home,<br />

LEBSVILIE ( Mrs. Ola May, 76, died at 2 p.m., Thursday Dec 14, 1961 at War Memorial<br />

hospital in Leesville Louisana, after a long illness. Funeral iervicei will be held at 2 p.m.<br />

today fit Canaan Baptist church with Rev. W. T. Love of Hemphill, Texas, and Rev. J. C.<br />

Heard, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the direction of Hixion Funeral home of Leesville.<br />

Mrs. May was a charter member of the Canaan Baptist church. Survivors include one son,<br />

R. 0. May of Gloster,, Miss.; one daughter, Mrs. Mark Faircloth of Leesville, and three<br />

sisters; Mrs. Addie Eaves, Mattie McNelley and Mrs. Tessie Peace.<br />
