Jane Andrews <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Jane Andrews Schafrik, 69 of 1491 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca, <strong>New</strong> York died at 2:45am,<br />

Saturday, October23, 2004 at The Hospicare Residence, 172 East King Road, Ithaca, NY.<br />

Born July 16, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Homer<br />

and Catherine <strong>Gunn</strong> Andrews. Jane was employed as a Realtor with Century 21 Real<br />

Estate in Ithaca for many years. Jane was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of<br />

Ulysses, Trumansburg, NY. In addition to her involvement with the Ithaca Board of<br />

Realtors, she was a member of the Water Resource Council, The Ithaca Landlords<br />

Association, the Better Housing of Tompkins County and was a volunteer with Aidswork of<br />

Tompkins County. She was active with The American Saddlebreds Association of <strong>New</strong><br />

York and showed American Saddlebreds with a passion. The Schafriks moved to the<br />

Ithaca area from Cleveland, Ohio in 1965. Survivors include her devoted husband, Lee of<br />

Ithaca,NY. daughters Karen (Mark) Powell of Palmyra, PA., Mary Leonard of <strong>New</strong> Port<br />

Richie, FL., Judy Austic of Seneca Falls, NY., her son Jim Schafrik of Spencer, NY.,<br />

grandchildren, Brad, Chloe, Anna,Kate Mike, Mark, Ben, Greg and Erin, great<br />

grandchildren, Kate, Ethan and Seth, brother Ross Andrews of Pittsburgh, PA. and<br />

numerous special friends including Jennifer Moore of Lansing, NY. Services will be<br />

Saturday, 1:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Ulysses, 69 East Main Street,<br />

Trumansburg, NY. Rev. Jeff Kellam will officiate. Interment in LaRow Cemetery will be<br />

private. There are no calling hours. Contributions in memory of Jane may be directed to<br />

Hospicare, 172 East King Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 or The American Cancer Society.<br />

Jane (Lefever) <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

age 65, passed away in <strong>New</strong> London, NH on Saturday, (April 22, 2006). She had a 37 year<br />

career at Hartford Hospital retiring from there in 1997. Predeceased by a son, Michael.<br />

Survived by her husband of over 49 years, David Townsend <strong>Gunn</strong> of <strong>New</strong> London, NH;<br />

two sons, Geoffrey and Peter; three grandchildren, Brigett, Couper and William; her<br />

sister, Joyce Illinger of Waltham, MA; nephew, Kurt; grandnieces, Savanna and Melina;<br />

sister-in-law, Janice Dunphy; and nieces, Pamela, Cheryl, and Kathy. Friends may call at
