Bertha Coon <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Died 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 1990, Field Memorial Hospital, Centreville, Miss. She<br />

was 90, a native and resident of Centreville, Miss., former resident of Monroe. She was a<br />

retired x-ray technician at St. Francis Hospital, Monroe. Visiting at <strong>New</strong>man Funeral<br />

Home, Centreville, Miss., 12 noon to religious services at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by<br />

the Rev. Bob Jones. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Survived by a niece, Mrs. Mary Alice<br />

Brown, Baton Rouge; two nephews, Jack Kilrow and Marshall Kilrow, both of Baton<br />

Rouge; five great-nieces, Clara A. Davis, Austin, Texas, Adrienne A. Chaney, Karen A.<br />

Mackay and Adair Bertha Anders, all of Baton Rouge, and Jean Murray; and two greatnephews,<br />

J.C. Brown and John O. Brown, both of Baton Rouge. Shewas a member of<br />

Centreville United Methodist Church.<br />

Bertha Keur <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Formerly of 1764 Apple Ave. Muskegon, Michigan. Mrs. Bertha <strong>Gunn</strong>, age 87, passed<br />

away early Saturday morning at a local nursing home. She was born June 11, 1900 in<br />

Muskegon, and had been a life resident of this area. She was a member of East Muskegon<br />

Christian Reformed Church, where she had been a member of the Dorcus Society. The<br />

former Bertha Keur, she married William C. <strong>Gunn</strong> on June 17, 1925 in Muskegon, and he<br />

preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1968. Survivors include 1 daughter; Mrs. Ronald (Lois)<br />

Vanderstelt of Lexington, S.C.; 3 grandchildren & 1 great granddaughter; 1 brother;<br />

Jacob Keur of Zeeland; & 1 sister; Mrs. Arie (Martha) Kleyn of Muskegon. Funeral<br />

Services for Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday from the Systema Chapel. Rev.<br />

James Hoogeveen officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. Friends may begin<br />

calling at 7 P.M. this evening, where they may meet the family from 7-9 P.M. & 4-2 & 7-9<br />

Bertha J. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, after a long illness at Regency Grande Nursing Home in Dover,<br />

NJ. She was 92. Born in Johnsonburg, she lived in Randolph for over 50 years. She was a<br />

self-employed housekeeper, retiring in 1977 after many years. She was a member of The<br />

Union Hill Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Ironia Presbyterian Church for<br />

over 50 years, before its closing. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the<br />

Ironia Fire Department Chemical Engine No. 4. Her dear husband, Harry <strong>Gunn</strong>, died in<br />

1971. Survivors include five sons, James Francis O'Brien of Rogersville, Tenn., George<br />

William O'Brien of Phoenix City, Ala., Harry John O'Brien of Jupiter, Fla., John Howard<br />

O'Brien of Rogersville, Tenn., and William Edward <strong>Gunn</strong> of Hopatcong; and two<br />

daughters, Frances L. Smith of Wharton, and Agnes M. Howell of Rogersville, Tenn.<br />

Alsosurvived by 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild;<br />

and by many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.<br />
