Jessie <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

age 94, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Miami Valley Hospital. She<br />

was preceded in death by her husband, John R. <strong>Gunn</strong>; a daughter, Joyce Nooks; grandson,<br />

Mark Green; great grandson, Ronald Lloyd Hill and nine brothers and sisters. She is<br />

survived by: two daughters, Annette Green and Gladys <strong>Gunn</strong>; one son, John Rufus <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

Jr.; grandchildren; Anthony C. Green, Debra Green, Jeffrey Green, Ronda Manson<br />

(Marvin), Chetaun Nooks; great grandchildren, Dr. Amber Green (Michael), Deanna<br />

Green, Che-Ron Mattison (Dionte) and great-great-grandchildren, Chardee Green and<br />

William Maston and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on<br />

Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 12 Noon at Zion Baptist Church, 1684 Earlham Dr.,<br />

Reverend Dr. William E. Harris, Jr. officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. The<br />

family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Published in the Dayton Daily<br />

Jessie Anna <strong>Gunn</strong> Rodgers<br />

Active member of Center Presbyterian Church - Jessie Anna <strong>Gunn</strong> Rodgers, 100, of<br />

McMurray, died Friday, April 9, 2010, in McMurray Hills Manor. She was born April 5,<br />

1910, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Donald A. and Jessie <strong>Gunn</strong>. Mrs. Rodgers was a<br />

member of Center Presbyterian Church in McMurray for 59 years, superintendent of the<br />

nursery department for 28 years and active in the women's association. She was an<br />

amateur oil paint artist. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends.Mrs. Rodgers<br />

graduated from Avalon High School and Burroughs Business School.She worked as a<br />

secretary for Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp., retiring in 1941.Surviving are her husband<br />

of 68 years, the Rev. Joseph H. Rodgers of McMurray; two sons, Joseph H. (Edith)<br />

Rodgers Jr. of North Kingsville, Ohio, and John A. (Gail) Rodgers of McMurray; four<br />

grandchildren, Lisa Hernandez of Wauconda, Ill., William Rodgers of Las Vegas,<br />

Jonathan of Lawrence and Heather Rodgers of Indiana; six great-grandchildren, Steven,<br />

Christopher, Michael and TJ Hernandez and Cody and Hailie Rodgers.Deceased are a<br />

sister, Mary Dudley Dryden; and a brother, John <strong>Gunn</strong>.Friends will be received from 1 to<br />

2 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, April 17, in Center Presbyterian Church, 255 Center<br />

Church Road, McMurray, with Dr. Joseph Rychcik of Center Presbyterian Church<br />

officiating and assisted by the Rev. Donald Austin of Chartiers Hill Church, Dr. Ronald D.<br />

Moore of South Hills Bible Chapel and the Rev. Linda Jaberg of Thomas Presbyterian<br />

Church. Interment will follow in Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery, McMurray. In<br />

lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center Presbyterian Church<br />

Memorial Fund, 255 Center Church Road, McMurray, PA 15317.<br />

Jessie James <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

age 65 of Dryden, Va. was born Wednesday, May 19, 1943 in Lee County, Va. and went to<br />

be with the Lord Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport,<br />

Tn. Jessie was an equipment operator, enjoyed farming, he loved to hunt and enjoyed the
