Christian. She is survived by daughter, Mary Helen Yunker; grandchildren, Rhonda<br />

Crook and Raymond Vining; great-grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Casey Vining, Bailey<br />

Lamar Vining, Gary Wharton; and great-great-granddaughter, Alexandria Jade. A<br />

memorial service was held Dec. 22, at Central Christian Church in Las Vegas, Nevada.<br />

Mary <strong>Gunn</strong> will be put to rest in the spring, next to my father, Lamar <strong>Gunn</strong>.<br />

Mary <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Versilles, Mo., Mary <strong>Gunn</strong>, 67, Eldon, widow of Ben <strong>Gunn</strong>, died Friday May 30, 1958 at<br />

her home. Born August 17, 1891 in Morgan County, she was the daughter of john Porter<br />

and Ronnie Cooper Porter. Surviving are 7 brothers, Arthur Porter, Boonville, George<br />

Porter, kansas City, and Emanuel Porter, Leonard Porter and Charles Porter all of<br />

Versilles. The body will lie in state at the Versailles funeral home until services at 2 pm<br />

Sunday in the Union Church at Rocky Mount, southwest of Eldon.<br />

Mary <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

88, of Providence Rt. 1, died yesterday 12-11-1972, in Taylor Heights Rest Home in<br />

Yanceyville, NC. She had been in declining health for several years and in serious condition<br />

for four months. Born in North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late George Hicks and<br />

Virginia Maddox Hicks. She was the widow of Ernest L. <strong>Gunn</strong>. She was a member of<br />

Bethel United Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia<br />

Anderson of Arcata, Calif.; four sons, Irvin S. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Bonifrey, Fla., Marvin E. <strong>Gunn</strong> of<br />

Providence Route 1, and Herman L. <strong>Gunn</strong> and Howard S. <strong>Gunn</strong>, both of Yanceyville; and<br />

10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted<br />

tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Harold T. Pickett and<br />

Dr. Haywood Harrell. Burial will be in the cemetery of Providence United Methodist<br />

Church. The family will receive friends at Caswell Funeral Home tonight from 8 to 9<br />

o"clock. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Herman <strong>Gunn</strong> in Yanceyville,<br />

Mary Alice <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Mary Alice <strong>Gunn</strong> Bennett of Seneca, Mo., died at 7:55 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2004, at<br />

Freeman Neosho, Mo., Hospital after an illness. She was 82. Bennett was born Nov. 10,<br />

1921, in Charlestown, W.Va., to Francis E. and Ida Kate <strong>Gunn</strong>. She owned and operated<br />

the Town and Country Wear in Seneca for many years. She was a member of Seneca<br />

Christian Church. She married George R. Bennett on April 22, 1938, in Seneca. He<br />

survives. Additional survivors include one son, Richard "Rick" Bennett of Seneca; one<br />

daughter, Linda Neal of Sarcoxie, Mo.; three grandchildren, Patrick Bennett of Seneca,<br />

Capt. Tyler Green of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Brian Green of St. Louis, Mo., and five<br />

great-grandchildren, Carson Green, Parker Green, Bennett Green, Alex Green and Daniel<br />

Green. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Seneca Christian Church with Truman<br />

Brady officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Truman Brady,<br />

Ken Brady, Kenny Neal, Ronal Bennett, Mark Bennett and Charles Holt. Arrangements
