84, of Sunrise Ridge, Rockfall, Conn., loving wife of the late Anthony P. Satagaj, passed<br />

peacefully Saturday, April 4, 2009, at her home after a short illness.<br />

Jane Forrester <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Widow and beloved wife of Watts <strong>Gunn</strong>, former Georgia golfing great. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was<br />

born Jane Earseman Forrester in Wilmerding, PA, December 21, 1910 and died in Atlanta<br />

Georgia, February 13, 2001. Raised in Pittsburgh, she first met her husband there in 1925,<br />

when he and Bobby Jones, boyhood friends from Macon, were matched in the final round<br />

of the U.S. National Amateur Championship at the Oakmont Country Club. She attended<br />

Bennett Junior College in <strong>New</strong> York, and, following her marriage to Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong>, became a<br />

lifetime resident of Atlanta, where she and her husband had lived in the same home in<br />

Buckhead since 1950. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was a member of the Junior League of Atlanta and the<br />

Garden Club of Atlanta. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. William R. Jackson, Jr. of<br />

Sewickley, PA, and six nieces and nephews. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Humane<br />

Society of Atlanta. Funeral service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2001 at<br />

Jane <strong>Gunn</strong> Weidmann,<br />

92, of Belleville, Ill., born Aug. 23, 1917, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Saturday, Aug. 14,<br />

2010, at Memorial Care Center, Belleville, Ill. After schooling in Belleville, Jane attended<br />

Washington University and graduated from Duke University, Class of 1938. During<br />

World War II, she enlisted with the Red Cross and served in Australia, the Philippines,<br />

and South Korea. Following the war, she was selected as the first Girl Scout executive in<br />

Belleville, Ill. Jane was the senior member of the First United Presbyterian Church of<br />

Belleville and had served on all of its boards and as a Sunday school teacher. She also<br />

served her community in many volunteer roles. Jane was preceded in death by her<br />

parents, Dr. John C. and Elsa, nee Lengfelder, <strong>Gunn</strong>. Survivors include her husband of<br />

nearly 63 years, Homer Weidmann, whom she married on Aug. 16, 1947. They were<br />

blessed with three children, Eric (Anne) Weidmann and Dede (Tom) Farquhar, both of<br />

Belleville, Ill., and Nan (Dave) Anderson of Golden, Colo. They are the proud grandparents<br />

of Megan (Joe) Sustar, Andy and Lindsay Weidmann, Tim (Laura) Farquhar, Mack<br />

(Becky) Farquhar, Lissa Farquhar, and Elsa and Will Anderson. Also surviving are greatgranddaughters,<br />

Siena and Elizabeth Sustar and Leah Farquhar. Memorials may be made<br />

to First United Presbyterian Church, to Memorial Hospital, or to the charity of the donor's<br />
