MACON, GA - Rev. Willie Frank <strong>Gunn</strong>, Sr., 88, of 675 Bell Avenue, peacefully entered into<br />

eternal rest on Saturday, July 23, 2005. Funeral services will be 2P.M. Thursday, July 28, at<br />

Holsey Temple CME, Macon. Burial will be in Saints Rest Cemetery. -Rev. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born in<br />

Dunbar, Georgia in 1917 and has lived in Macon for the past 73 years. Rev. <strong>Gunn</strong> is a<br />

member of Holsey Temple CME Church and was formerly a member of Harmony Baptist<br />

Church where he served as assistant pastor. He was employed at the Macon Hospital for 30<br />

years and retired from Charlie Wood Sporting Goods after over 30 years of service. -Rev.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Joyce <strong>Gunn</strong> and his son, Robert James<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>. -Rev. <strong>Gunn</strong> is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Mattie Lena Pinkett <strong>Gunn</strong>;<br />

three sons, Willie Frank (Theodora) <strong>Gunn</strong>, Jr. of Columbia SC, Edward Eugene (Delores)<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> of Dale City, VA, Gregory Wayne <strong>Gunn</strong> of Macon; three daughters, Sandra <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

(Joseph) Shakespeare, Gwendolyn <strong>Gunn</strong> (Charlie) Simmons, Brenda <strong>Gunn</strong> Jenkins of<br />

Macon; two sisters, Odessa Tarver of Detroit, MI, Ruby Mae Cross of Macon; one<br />

brother-in-law, Eddie Pinkett of Detroit, MI; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-two great<br />

grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted loved ones. -Family contact:<br />

OKOLONA - Willie James "Clayton" "Pete" <strong>Gunn</strong>, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at the<br />

Darlington Oaks Hospice in Verona, Mississippi. He was born April 10, 1936, to Warren and<br />

Celia <strong>Gunn</strong>. He was a singer with various gospel groups including, Sensational Traveling Six,<br />

Traveling Stars, Pilgrim Jubilees, Flim and the Supreme Angels, and the Southern Wonders.<br />

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and really loved singing. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday<br />

at the Freewill Gospel Temple in Amory with the Rev. Willis Dobbs officiating. Burial will be<br />

in the Okolona Cemetery. Williams Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the<br />

arrangements.Survivors include his wife, Mary Ford <strong>Gunn</strong> of Okolona; one sister, Ollie<br />

Johnson (J.T.) of Okolona; his children, Willie <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr., Maxine Dean, Donely <strong>Gunn</strong>, George<br />

and Betty <strong>Gunn</strong>, and Michelle and Bobby Garth, all of West Point, James and Karen<br />

Hubbard of Madison, Wis., Mary and Humphris Kelly of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Wardell and<br />

Coretta <strong>Gunn</strong> of Baldwyn, Sterling and Rita <strong>Gunn</strong> of Columbus, Jeremiah and Kimmie <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

of Alaska, Mary and Tyrone Hampton of Wren, Warren and Mayo Lewis of <strong>New</strong> Mexico,<br />

Sharon <strong>Gunn</strong> and Calvin <strong>Gunn</strong>, both of Indianapolis, Ind., Marcus Love of Vicksburg,<br />

Kennedy Love of South Bend and Mary Blanchard of Tupelo; his stepchildren, Roy Hill,<br />

Dollie Hill, and Oliver and Tameka Hill, all of Okolona, Dorothy and Rick McPeek of Ohio,<br />

Hudson and Helen Hill of Amory, James and Joyce Hill of Holly Springs, Janice and Carmen<br />

Perry, and Bertha Babbitt, all of Tupelo, Sandra and Richard Deanes of Cedar Bluff, and<br />

John and Marlene Babbitt of Texas; a host of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.Visitation<br />

will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today.<br />

67, of Chicago died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 in Chicago. Funeral services are planned for<br />

Thursday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Valley with the Revs. R. L.<br />

Carter, W. G. Wimberly, C. Chambers, Joe C. McGhee and A. A. Booker officiating. Burial<br />

will follow at Burrell Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> is survived by her husband, Walter Lee<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> of Chicago; her son, Regis Woodson of Chicago; two daughters, Regina Woodson and<br />

Sheleeka <strong>Gunn</strong>, both of Chicago; a special granddaughter, Andrea Woodson of Chicago; a
