Equipment in Quitman. She was a lifetime member of Quitman United Methodist Church
where she had taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Cadron Chapter 581
Order of the Eastern Star. Preceding her in death were her parents, Jesse and Kate
Williams; her husband, Fred Gunn; and sisters, Lois Jeanne Moore and Loueva Snow.
Survivors include a son, James F. "Pete" Gunn and wife, Gail, of Little Rock;
granddaughter, Kelly Ward and husband, Rick, of Little Rock; grandson, Justin Gunn and
wife, Sheri, of Flower Mound, Texas; nieces, Sara Kate Mercer and husband, Danny, of
Winnfield, La.; Susan Cook and husband, Donny, of North Little Rock, Sandra Thorpe and
husband, Todd, of Quitman, LouAnn Moles and husband, Pat, of Harrison, and four greatgrandchildren,
Mason, Braedon, Rileigh Gunn, and Kathyrn Ward. Visitation will be 6 to 8
p.m. Tuesday at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs. Services will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at the Quitman United Methodist Church. Joe L. Kennedy, Susan Miles, and
Donnie Cook will be celebrating her life with friends and family. Interment will be in the
Quitman Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lynn Burford, G. W. Poole, Earl Moore, John Riggs,

Vera Mae Gunn
NOBLESVILLE, IN -- Vera Mae Gunn, 78, Noblesville, died Dec. 31, 2009, at Riverview
Hospital, Noblesville. She was born April 25, 1931, the daughter of Earl and Mary Mills
Thomas. She was a 1950 graduate of Westfield High School. She was married to Julian W.
Gunn. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Gunn was a member of Eagle Creek Evangelical
Friends Church in Westfield. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and playing the piano. She
enjoyed spending time with family, and was wise in Real Estate. She is survived by three
sons and daughters-in-law, Mark A. and Cheryl Gunn, Greenfield, Kenneth L. and Nancy
Gunn, Lebanon, and Steve D. and Roslyn Gunn, Noblesville; two daughters and a son-inlaw,
Susan L. and Anthony Aspaugh, Westfield, and Sherry Gunn, Noblesville; three
brothers, Donald, Joe and Bill Thomas; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. In
addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Thomas. Calling
will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Eaglecreek Evangelical Friends Church, with services
immediately following. The Rev. Dan Ealy will officiate. Burial will be in Eagletown

Vera Gunn
Vera E. Gunn MODESTO, Calif. - Vera Eccles Gunn, 87, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 in
Modesto, California. She was born September 19, 1917 in Ogden, a daughter of Stewart and
Elvera Nelson Eccles. In 1954, Vera married Robert Campbell Gunn in Oakland, California.
Robert preceded her in death on December 17, 1979. She was raised and educated in Ogden
graduating from Ogden High School. Vera was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She was proficient in every kind of craft and homemaking skill. She also enjoyed music.
Surviving are three daughters, Marilee Calloway, Gardnerville, NV; Patricia Scott (Louis)
Putney, Riverbank, CA; Kathleen Gunn, Redding, CA; 14 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren
and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are four sisters, Betty Jardine,
Roy; Jeanette Eccles, West Covina, CA; Olivia Wolf, Mantica, CA; Charlene Terkleson,
Ogden. Vera was preceded in death by her husband and one sister Patricia Thurgood.
