Equipment in Quitman. She was a lifetime member of Quitman United Methodist Church<br />

where she had taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Cadron Chapter 581<br />

Order of the Eastern Star. Preceding her in death were her parents, Jesse and Kate<br />

Williams; her husband, Fred <strong>Gunn</strong>; and sisters, Lois Jeanne Moore and Loueva Snow.<br />

Survivors include a son, James F. "Pete" <strong>Gunn</strong> and wife, Gail, of Little Rock;<br />

granddaughter, Kelly Ward and husband, Rick, of Little Rock; grandson, Justin <strong>Gunn</strong> and<br />

wife, Sheri, of Flower Mound, Texas; nieces, Sara Kate Mercer and husband, Danny, of<br />

Winnfield, La.; Susan Cook and husband, Donny, of North Little Rock, Sandra Thorpe and<br />

husband, Todd, of Quitman, LouAnn Moles and husband, Pat, of Harrison, and four greatgrandchildren,<br />

Mason, Braedon, Rileigh <strong>Gunn</strong>, and Kathyrn Ward. Visitation will be 6 to 8<br />

p.m. Tuesday at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs. Services will be at 10 a.m.<br />

Wednesday at the Quitman United Methodist Church. Joe L. Kennedy, Susan Miles, and<br />

Donnie Cook will be celebrating her life with friends and family. Interment will be in the<br />

Quitman Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lynn Burford, G. W. Poole, Earl Moore, John Riggs,<br />

Vera Mae <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

NOBLESVILLE, IN -- Vera Mae <strong>Gunn</strong>, 78, Noblesville, died Dec. 31, 2009, at Riverview<br />

Hospital, Noblesville. She was born April 25, 1931, the daughter of Earl and Mary Mills<br />

Thomas. She was a 1950 graduate of Westfield High School. She was married to Julian W.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>. He preceded her in death. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was a member of Eagle Creek Evangelical<br />

Friends Church in Westfield. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and playing the piano. She<br />

enjoyed spending time with family, and was wise in Real Estate. She is survived by three<br />

sons and daughters-in-law, Mark A. and Cheryl <strong>Gunn</strong>, Greenfield, Kenneth L. and Nancy<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>, Lebanon, and Steve D. and Roslyn <strong>Gunn</strong>, Noblesville; two daughters and a son-inlaw,<br />

Susan L. and Anthony Aspaugh, Westfield, and Sherry <strong>Gunn</strong>, Noblesville; three<br />

brothers, Donald, Joe and Bill Thomas; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. In<br />

addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Thomas. Calling<br />

will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Eaglecreek Evangelical Friends Church, with services<br />

immediately following. The Rev. Dan Ealy will officiate. Burial will be in Eagletown<br />

Vera <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Vera E. <strong>Gunn</strong> MODESTO, Calif. - Vera Eccles <strong>Gunn</strong>, 87, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 in<br />

Modesto, California. She was born September 19, 1917 in Ogden, a daughter of Stewart and<br />

Elvera Nelson Eccles. In 1954, Vera married Robert Campbell <strong>Gunn</strong> in Oakland, California.<br />

Robert preceded her in death on December 17, 1979. She was raised and educated in Ogden<br />

graduating from Ogden High School. Vera was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.<br />

She was proficient in every kind of craft and homemaking skill. She also enjoyed music.<br />

Surviving are three daughters, Marilee Calloway, Gardnerville, NV; Patricia Scott (Louis)<br />

Putney, Riverbank, CA; Kathleen <strong>Gunn</strong>, Redding, CA; 14 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren<br />

and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are four sisters, Betty Jardine,<br />

Roy; Jeanette Eccles, West Covina, CA; Olivia Wolf, Mantica, CA; Charlene Terkleson,<br />

Ogden. Vera was preceded in death by her husband and one sister Patricia Thurgood.
